Is picking races in advance a good way to bet?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Bit of a newbie question getting ready for the upcoming NH season. Would it be a good approach to pick races now that I intend to bet on and then only follow horses, study form and learn tracks that are relevant to those races?

Many thanks for any help or suggestions. Apologies if this is a silly question with an obvious answer. :)

it’s far too nuanced and complicated to give you a straight answer to that.

for day to day betting, rather than big races, watching the market on the day can be absolutely vital.

sometimes however, you just know, and you should take the early money.

Stradivarius for example..
