Quick question to help a newbie.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I know this might seem a silly question to most but as someone who is just getting into horse racing I wasn’t sure what the answer was.

What does it mean when someone says a horse is “travelling well”?

Many thanks

Morning Matt---If a jockey has his hands tight on the rein's near the horses neck---it is considered to be "travelling well"---if the jockey is all action with knee's ,hands and whip.---the horse is "all out effort"

I hope that helps

Cheers Roy
