The 5yo never clicked as a novice and it took him a couple of handicap starts to find his level. A decent second here in July was a step forward and finally the penny dropped last time out here when he won well. Up 8lbs for that but can strike while the irons hot. *Just have to say the Thurles meeting tomorrow is awful for punters, full of unknown quantities in the novice races and impossible handicaps to fill the card, its a wonder anyone bets in them.
