This weeks races come from Doncaster and Chester and include 5 handicaps!

Selections;

Leg 1: 2.15 Chester Alejandro Bet365

The opening leg is from Chester and we have a 7 1/2f handicap, I like Alejandro from the O'Meara yard who has been most consistent this season and deserves to get his head in front. Sir Billy Wright would have been more interesting with a lower draw but still go well.

Leg 2: 2.35 Doncaster Bowson Fred 16/1 Bet365

22 runners and the most competitive handicap of the day. You could pick half a dozen of these and still miss the target but my arrow is pointing in the direction of Bowson Fred who was a cracking 3rd at Haydock last week and now has Paul Hanagan booked and that should do the trick.

Leg 3: 3.10 Doncaster Richard Pankhurst 2/1 William Hill

A Group 2 race over 7f and despite there only being 8 runners its still a tricky encounter. Favourite Richard Pankhurst was impressive last time while Godolphin also have Toormore in the line up. Breton Rock and Buckstay have been running well and they represent the older brigade.

Leg 4: 3.55 Chester Yorkindred Spirit Paddy Power

Interesting 10f handicap and lost in with a chance of some sort. Just one C/D winner in the field which is the top one Save The Bees, he's out of form at the minute so i prefer the Mark Johnston duo of Yorkindred Spirit and Rainbow Rebel, of the pair i just edge in favour of Yorkindred Spirit.

Leg 5: 4.20 Doncaster Maths Prize Bet365

A 2yo Nursery handicap and 8 of the nine runners had already tasted success. Oceanus is the odd one out but still cant be totally ruled out. Maths Prize has won his last two races and looks to be still improving so a chance is taken with him in a tricky little puzzle.

Leg 6 4.50 Doncaster Up In Lights Skybet

A mile handicap to finish off with and just ten runners go to post. Trainer James Fanshawe has been going well of late and  his runner Up In Lights looks as good as anything. She won last time out at Newmarket and is only 4lb higher and could well defy the handicapper here. Banksea and Breakable are in good form and are obvious dangers.

6.45 Leopardstown

Minding 3/1 Betway

A cracking renewal of the Champion Stakes and i'm going to side with the filly Minding. To me she has been the most impressive of the 3yo's this season especially when winning at Epsom and the Curragh. Last tim out she wasn't as impressive but got the job done ok and that will have put her spot on for this. Harzand is the obvious danger but to be honest you could draw up a short list full of potential winners of this terrific contest.
