The favourite Nemoralia looks a solid bet to open the card on Friday at Doncaster. She has won twice at York this season and in between those victories was second at Ascot in the Coronation Stakes and 4th at Chantilly in a Group 1 contest. That sets a pretty good standard here and she should take this Group 3 race ahead of the Johnston runner Lumiere.

Mizzou 9/4 Coral

Decent renewal for the 250th running of the Doncaster Cup and Mizzou looks the one to beat judged one his runners up spot behind Order Of St George at Ascot in June. He's had a nice break and should be as fresh as any of his rivals and has the added advantage of acting on any surface and stays the 2m2f well. Prior to Ascot he won the Segaro Stakes from Clever Cookie who is one of his main rivals here and has nothing to fear from that rival who ha been well beaten the last twice.
