This will involve utilizing a stallion's average winning mark in the past 365 days for their progeny when they are running in their first hurdle or chase handicap. I will include those runners who have been awarded a mark that is below or equal to that of their stallion, which I believe is the correct way to go rather than those who have an above average mark as that may well be their limit. As an example, I will use a winner from today using this criteria: 3:45 Plumpton - Talk Of The South OR 102 (Stallion:Milan Average 365 day winning hurdle OR 110) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks. I see it as a logical system and it's still very raw - lots more can be done to the criteria and I feel it would be interesting to follow the horses progress as their mark improves.
