225 Newcastle - Fair Shake @ 12/1 William Hill - each way This horse is happier as a sprinter, his 2 wins coming over 5 furlongs and 6 furlongs - both on softish ground which is a bonus for today. He has had some failed attampts at 7 furlongs recently, without running badly. This has lowered its handicap mark which is obviously in its favour for today. Its last attempt over 6 furlongs was when running well over his course and to me he looks ready to pounce at some point soon. Hopefully today will be the day.

Re: AK's Saturday Bets 300 Newc - Anak Pekan @ 3/1 bet 365. Not very original but this looks certain to go close. Has improved all season. Runs off an all time high mark today which is a slight worry but he loves the soft ground, which could be crucial today
