Re: Dutch Darts Masters Two outrights for me. 2pts ew J.Wade to win Dutch Darts Masters 8/1 Bet365 (1/2 1-2) James Wade looks to have landed himself with a plum draw in this tournament. In the bottom half of the draw literally none of the seeds have shown much form in recent times apart perhaps from Ian White so there is absolutely no reason why Wade can't gallop his way to the final of this event if not a bit further than that. Wade has made the quarter final or better in his last eight tour events and he put up a strong challenge to Anderson in Dubai last weekend before coming up short but with Taylor, Anderson, Lewis and Barneveld all swerving this event ahead of next week the tournament is wide open in behind van Gerwen, who unlike Wade has landed himself in an awful portion of the draw with Chisnall, Whitlock and King all in his quarter. Wade is going well and with this draw even at 8/1 he's overpriced this weekend. 0.5pts ew D.Gurney to win Dutch Darts Masters 150/1 Ladbrokes (1/2 1-2) Daryl Gurney is in the same half as James Wade albeit the other quarter of the draw from him so there is no need to repeat the detail about the draw. Obviously Gurney isn't expected to come through but he is a real streaky player who when it is his day can score anyone out of the water and if his doubles go in he's tough to beat. He has a couple of semi-finals on tour this year which shows his pedigree and with the potential for this draw to open right up it is worth chancing the Northern Irishman at a big price for this field, draw and the talent he has.

Re: Dutch Darts Masters Not a great start to the day but hopefully a match bet tonight can land. 4pts J.Klaasen to beat A.Norris 8/11 Paddy Power I know these best of 11 matches skew the odds a little bit but even so I think on current form Klaasen is worthy of being a little shorter than he is. He has just made the final of a tour event two weekend's ago where he beat Adrian Lewis, Mervyn King and Simon Whitlock among others on the way and he has a win over Norris this year too which could possibly be the bigger thing. Norris is a big stage player and we have to recognise that but we've already seen the Dutch crowd cheer on two Dutch players to victory in the afternoon session and Klaasen will have the crowds on his side here despite his chequered past. Alan Norris went past the last 32 of a tour event for the first time since March in that event Klaasen made the final in and while that is a welcome sign it hardly paints a big picture of his form which hasn't been great despite a bright start to his PDC career. We know how good Norris is at his best but I fancy Klaasen to have him covered here.

Re: Dutch Darts Masters That's better. 2 for Saturday afternoon. 4pts G.Stone to beat S.Beaton 6/4 Boylesports This is my bet of the day despite the lofty price. I was really impressed with Gary Stone in the first round. He went 2-1 down to Dean Winstanley but then ploughed in the big scores and dominated after that and averaged 99.86 with only 6/18 on the doubles so there is even room for improvement. It has taken a while but there are definite signs that the Scot is settling down at this level. This is the second last 32 of a European Tour event he has made this year. He lost to van Gerwen in the first one but took 2 legs off him and this represents a much better chance of progression given that Beaton is nothing amazing. To be fair to Beaton he still has the odd run in one of these events now and again but you know what you're going to get with him. Very rarely is he going to blast someone away with a 100+ average and if you get ahead of him early he isn't the biggest fighter in the world. Stone slammed in 5 180s against Winstanley which probably isn't a surprised because he hit a 9 darter in the qualifying for the World Championship last year so he is obviously a heavy scorer and if he can be proficient on his doubles this price will look pretty big this time tomorrow. 4pts C.Kist to beat B.Dolan 5/4 BetVictor I'm such a fan of Christian Kist that I've actually been guilty of not taking him to win matches I think he'll win, instead looking for the perfect opportunity where I know my liking for him isn't clouding my judgement but I'm prepared to get involved in him here. First of all he's in home surroundings which always helps and it is probably no surprise that all four Dutch qualifiers won on the opening day but the other reason I like Kist is he had a tough first round match on paper against Cristo Reyes who will be big in the game when he's fully committed to things. Kist came through that unscathed though with a 95 average. His scoring was solid and his doubling was good too and I fancy him to have a bit more in the tank here as well. Brendan Dolan is a really solid player these days, making tour quarter finals at will but when he comes up against the elite he's still found wanting. Kist isn't elite but he's relentless and that pressure coupled with the partisan crowd behind Kist can lead to the former Lakeside champion progressing here.

Re: Dutch Darts Masters One for Sunday. 4pts D.Pallett to beat J.Caven 6/4 Paddy Power Dave Pallett looks overpriced here. I don't just say that because he beat James Wade in the previous round but because Jamie Caven looked bang ordinary and hasn't been in great form for a while. He has only gone past the last 32 of any event once since February and when you think where he is always seeded in these events that is clearly not good enough and highlights just how out of form Caven is. Another thing that highlights that is his paltry 87.55 average against John Henderson. Caven barely scored at all in that match and if Henderson was anything like competent on his doubles rather than the pathetic 0/10 record he actually had then Caven would be out by now. Pallett has looked good in both his matches this weekend. He is finishing well and always scores well and I expect him to take it to Caven here and if Caven doesn't find his scoring power then he'll be in trouble. Pallett can be known to have the odd mare on the doubles himself but even then his scoring power will ensure he gets to the doubles regularly and at 6/4 I'm happy to pay to see if he can hit six of them as confidently as he did against James Wade on Saturday night.

Re: Dutch Darts Masters These deciding legs are annoying me now :wall. One for tonight. 4pts J.Payne to beat J.Pipe 6/4 BetVictor From what we've seen this weekend Josh Payne has to have every chance in this match. I know Michael Smith missed some doubles against him earlier but Payne played a full part in a match which had 14 180s in 10 legs and his 95.42 average was a solid indication of how well he played. That is considerably higher than the 83.17 Pipe managed in a laboured looking effort where he didn't play all that well and didn't really score all that well either. Even yesterday Pipe averaged a shade over 90 and didn't look particularly great in doing it. Payne wasn't at his best yesterday but showed his fighting spirit which could come in handy here but the way he took care of Wayne Jones on the opening day of the tournament made me stand up and take notice. To repel a barrage of 180s from Smith this afternoon and still hold his nerve to win shows he has something about him and as long as the occasion and Pipe's pace, or lack of it, don't get the better of him you would think he has every chance of a first major semi-final here.
