Was 3rd over C&D 2 starts ago in a tougher race, and is 8lbs better off today with the jockeys claim so should go close if replicating that form. Oscar's Journey needs a career best to figure (previous highest winning mark is 70) and chances are he prefers softer ground, as would Point North and By Rights. The Wispe is consistent and no surprise to see her figure but preference is for Margaret's Gift who whilst a bit high in the weights, goes very well at this level and has won previously when turned out quickly again. The 3yo gelding has improved with every run and was 3rd LTO in a better which has worked out well with the 2nd placed horse subsequently winning. Just the one selection today. 4.50 Brighton Vincentti should find this a lot easier than his recent assignment when out of his depth in a class 3. Back down to a class 5, his form reads 2212 at this grade on turf and whilst getting no favours from the handicapper, and on a long losing run, should give a good account at a decent price.
