Meydan - Thursday January 29th Our first bet tomorrow comes in the 5 furlong sprint, the 3:20pm race and the value pick here has to be the Jeremy Gask trained MEDICEAN MAN who is a three time course winner here at Meydan. The 9 year old has showed a real liking for the course, beating Ahtoug over this distance here last February off a three pound lower mark. He went on to follow up a week later and then ran a cracker in Group 1 company when 4th behind Amber Sky in March. He went off a 33/1 shot for the Group 1 King's Stand Stakes at Ascot in the summer but he ran another top race to finish 4th behind Sole Power. If he brings his best to the table here, he should win this race with a minimum of fuss so take the 8/1 with Paddy Power. Getting onto the 5:40, it may prove to be silly to take on the talented True Story but the Mike De Kock trained SANSHAAWES should not be as big as 10/1 with Paddy Power in my opinion. Fair enough, True Story beat him fair and square last time out here at the start of January when he could only manage 4th but I am willing to give the horse another chance to show what he was made of. He was supported in the market last time out, going off a 5/1 shot, so I am happy to take double the price this time round for a trainer that does exceptionally well at this track. He was 2nd in a Group 1 here behind Prince Bishop not too long ago, is still unexposed and he could be the fly in the ointmnt to upset the True Story party. Re: Flat Racing > Thursday January 29th 320 meyd medicean man 99.81 jamesie 99.77 fityaan 99.55 ahtoug 99.54 I love these sprints but so hard to predict ......medicean man always gives a good run and could well take this ........same could be applied to fityaan who ran really well lto .....but im going to take a speculative ew punt on jamesie ....lot to like about his run against Gordon lord Byron rated 117 with another 108 horse behind ......gets in here off 105 which looks pretty lenient for a horse of that calibre ....hasn't had a run which is negative but has run well fresh in past and 14/1 just too good value to miss jamesie 5pts ew 14/1 bet365
