Anytime Goalscorers using Fantasy Stats

Recommended Posts

Not a market many like but lets see if fantasy stats can help out. 1 point on each. Jamie Vardy to score anytime Leicester v Liverpool at 4.33 (coral)

  • Leicester are not scoring much at the moment but in the last 4 they have had 34 shots inside the box – one more than Man United, with 13 on target.
  • Whilst Leicester's opposition has been poor, Liverpool defensively arent much better having conceded 7 big chances (defined as a gilt-edged chance) in the same timeframe, joint 4th worst in the division.
  • Biggest value looks to be Jamie Vardy (3 big chances, 24 touches in the box and 5 close-range attempts).
Sergio Aguero Man City at Sunderland at 1.9 (betfair SB) Yawn right. But the stats are overwhelming despite the recent blanks. In the last four he's top for shots, efforts inside the box, second for big chances, shots on target, and touches inside the penalty box. Danny Ings Burnley v Newcastle at 2.9 (bwin)
  • Ings has been afforded more big chances than any player in the last 4 matches, has produced 18 shots on goals, with 12 inside the box and 3 goals
  • Newcastle look like being seriously depleted, including in goalkeeping and defensive positions

Charlie Austin QPR at Swansea at 3.2 (betvictor)

  • Bit of a roughy this as Swansea keep it tight at home, but QPR are very attacking at present and the key beneficiary of that is Austin.
  • He is top for attempts on target in the last four second shots and efforts inside the box.
Romelu Lukaka Everton v Hull at 2.2 (betfred)
  • Hull have conceded 10 big chances conceded in the last 4, second worst in the division
  • They are also joint bottom for goals against
  • Everton have produced seven big chances in the last 4 - 7th best in the division.
  • Frustrating at times, Romelu Lukaku leads the way for Everton attempts, big chances and efforts on target over the last four

Eden Hazard Chelsea v Spurs at 2.75 (betfred)

  • With Costa suspended, Hazard is likely to link up again with Drogba who seems to suit him better.
  • Hazard scores better at home than away, and tends to be more explosive than a regular goalscorer
  • Hazard has had 15 shots in the last 4 (5 on target) and leads the division with 46 touches in the box and efforts inside the area

Shortlisted but no bets because underlying stats suggest no value: Rooney, RVP, Sanchez. Barkley.

Re: Anytime Goalscorers using Fantasy Stats

0 from 3 last night, need a couple tonight to avoid a poor start Vardy had a couple of reasonable half chances, but Liverpools more pragmatic tactics improved their defensive solidity.
3/3 before H/T ....Nice...:ok

Re: Anytime Goalscorers using Fantasy Stats 1 point each on the following: Sergio Aguero to score v Everton (1.8 at Skybet)

  • Aguero has surprisingly failed to score in three of his six home appearances, but hit a brace in midweek and leads the division in the last 4 for shots and attempts in the box.
  • City lead the division for efforts inside the area and goals in the last 4, with nine of those from inside the box, and minutes per chance.
  • Everton are in poor defensive form, though – without a clean sheet away from home all season and have conceded in five of the last six league matches home or away.
Charlie Austin to score v Burnley (2.75 at bwin)
  • Austin has racked up four goals and two assists in his last four at Loftus Road
  • Jointly leads the division for shots on target in the last 4 league matches (9) joint second for shots inside the box (11) and big chances (4).
  • QPR sit third for attempts inside the box in the last 4 and equal Man City for big chances created (conversion is an issue).
  • Burnley have only kept one clean sheet on their travels

Danny Ings to score v QPR (3.3 at betfair sportsbook)

  • Ings joint top with Costa for big chances in the last 4, joint second for shots and shots in box and third best minutes/chance
  • QPR have conceded the most attempts in the box in the division over the last 4
Christian Benteke to score v Leicester (2.62 general)
  • Benteke scored his first of the season last time out since returning from injury and suspension and in his last 4 is joint second for shots inside the box.
  • Leicester have skipper and centre half Wes Morgan suspended which wont help them improve a defensive record which has seen them keep a clean sheet in just one of the last 10 league matches.

Danny Welbeck to score at Stoke (3 at betvictor)

  • Sanchez will be the punters anytime scorer choice in this match but in the last 4 Welbeck has produced twice the touches in the box, and had more shots inside the area, efforts on target, and big chances than the Chilean.
  • At a bigger price than Sanchez, who has lost his central striking spot, Welbeck looks to have a bit of value.
  • Arsenal are second in the division for big chances, shots inside the box and efforts on target in the last 4.
  • Stoke have failed to keep a clean sheet since their 3rd league match, and are joint third worst for big chances conceded
Diego Costa to score v Newcastle (2 at betvictor)
  • Costa has scored just once in his last three away games but leads the division for big chances in his last 4 matches home or away and will be well rested after his midweek suspension.
  • Chelsea have the highest number of big chances and attempts on target over the last four league matches, and are second only to City for overall efforts.
  • Whilst they are getting some players back, Newcastle are still struggling with injuries and suspensions and have looked decidedly less robust when missing Krul.

Re: Anytime Goalscorers using Fantasy Stats Bit of a disaster last week with only Austin notching and the loss to injury of the Bank of Kun. W4 L8 Bank -2.4 points This weeks recipe: Diafra Sakho to score at Sunderland at 3

  • Sunderland may have toughened up of late but Sakho leads the division for big chances, minutes per chance, shots inside the box and touches in the penalty area and in his last four matches
  • Likely to start after coming on and outshining Valencia last time out
Diego Costa to score v Hull at 1.57
  • Watch team news on this one because Costa played 90 minutes on Wednesday, this is a no bet if Costa doesn’t start
  • Costa is second in the division for big chances and joint top for shots on target.
  • Chelsea are joint top for big chances
  • Costa’s goals have predominantly come at home
  • Playing a Hull side woefully out of form

Eden Hazard to score v Hull at 2.4

  • As above, plus Hazard is top midfielder for shots inside the area in the last 4
  • Like Costa, Hazards goals predominantly come at home

Wilfried Bony to score v Spurs at 2.5 Bony leads the division for shots, is joint top for goals and is second for chances/minute in his last 4

Re: Anytime Goalscorers using Fantasy Stats Robin Van Persie to score v Aston Villa at 2.2

  • Van Persie tops the division for goals in his last 4, joint top for big chances and top for shots on target.
  • Villa have a number of injuries and suspensions including in defensive positions.
Diafra Sakho to score v Leicester at 2.5
  • Sakho let us down last weekend but remains top in the division over the last four for touches in the box, joint top for big chances and second in the division for shots and shots inside the box.
  • West Ham are 2nd in the division for shots on target.
  • Leicester have conceded the most goals and shots in the box in the last 4, whilst they have jointly conceded the most big chances

Charlie Austin to score v WBA at 2.65

  • Was our only winner a couple of weeks ago and fresh from missing last week to suspension is 2nd in the division for big chances in his last four, 3rd for shots and second for attempts on target.
  • QPR sit third in the division for shots, and 2nd for attempts in the area
Diego Costa to score at Stoke at 2.1
  • Been a bit of a loser backing Chelsea players away but Costa’s stats can be ignored going to Stoke.
  • Costa is joint top for big chances in his last 4, seond for shots, joint 3rd for shots in the box and shots on target

Wilfried Bony to score v Hull at 2.75

  • A winner for us last week and apart from his wayward conversion % his stats are impressive.
  • Second for touches in the box, top for to shots and efforts in the area and minutes per chance.
