Re: Champions League T20 Tournament preview: 2pts ew Cape Cobras to win Champions League T20 10/1 BetVictor (1/2 1-2) One side I like the look of with the bat and the ball are the Cape Cobras. They’ve played in this tournament before so know how it all works and with the likes of Amla, Levi and Duminy wielding the willow and bowlers such as Kleinveldt, Philander, Langeveldt and Peterson they are well covered in that area. They are in the weaker of the two groups so they have plenty going for them and could well land the spoils here at 10/1. 1pt ew Northern Districts to win Champions League T20 33/1 Betway (1/2 1-2) Another side worth having a go with are the Northern Districts from New Zealand. We saw Otago go well from the southern island last year and the Districts look well equipped to go well if they can find some form and momentum in qualifying. Kane Williamson and Scott Styris are experienced players with the bat while the likes of Southee, Boult and Sodhi can be useful with the ball. At 33/1 they look overpriced if they can qualify for the main draw. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/champions-league-t20-betting-cape-cobras-can-provide-south-african-success

Re: Champions League T20 Saturday previews: 4pts Northern Districts to beat Southern Express 8/11 Boylesports I think the Northern Districts will win this. They put up a lot of runs and don’t concede very many and that is a perfect combination for this format. The Sri Lankan side are missing their two big guns and that isn’t good. The New Zealand side have been in India preparing for this tournament for quite a while so they will be acclimatised and ready for action straight away. I think they’ll win this. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/northern-districts-vs-southern-express-betting-kiwi-side-can-begin-champions-league-with-win 3pts Mumbai vs Lahore - Highest score Over 70 runs 7/4 Stan James I’m tempted to take Lahore in this match because this Mumbai batting line up is missing one or two and if they can get through Malinga the bowling isn’t a whole lot better but I expect a high scoring game here so I’ll take the highest score to be over 70. Both sides have men that they bat around and if they bat the innings a high score is likely but with the freedom the rest have I’m confident someone will go big here. Re: Champions League T20 Sunday previews: 4pts Northern Districts to beat Lahore Lions 10/11 Skybet I liked the look of the Northern Districts going into the tournament and given that I don’t expect them to shell as many chances here I think they look good things to me. Lahore lack a little with the ball and against a strong batting side that could be key. I like the make up of the bowling attack that the Kiwi side has so if their batsmen keep on delivering the Districts can make it two from two here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/northern-districts-vs-lahore-lions-betting-kiwis-can-make-it-two-from-two 3pts Southern Express to beat Mumbai Indians 2/1 Stan James I’m reluctant to take Mumbai in this match. They look a bit of a shambles away from home conditions if you ask me and for a side with the cash and event weighted in their favour like an Indian side their batting line up looks a bit pony. If you take Malinga out of their attack their bowling doesn’t look a lot better either and you’d think this Sri Lankan side will play Malinga as well as anyone. The Sri Lankans look value to me here. Re: Champions League T20 Good luck mate :) I too like the look of the Cobras at the price. Am also one of those who put a couple of quid on Lahore, I don't expect to see a return but the odds didn't match the quality of their personnel as far as I could tell. Couple of top team batsmen I have taken: Hobart: Shoaib Malik, 5/1 Stan James Thought he was terrific in CPL. Didn't have a great Big Bash but that is a while ago now and I think he has a good chance if he bats 3/4 again for Hobart and carries Barbados form. Dunk has tasted Indian conditions from IPL this year but it will be newer thing for the likes of Paine, Birt etc and hopefully experience will tell. Barbados: Shane Dowrich, 10/1 Coral He is not the best batsman on the circuit from what I've seen, but he did open with Dwayne Smith in the CPL which makes him a handy price if he does so again. Particularly with the absence of Smith, Pollard and Malik diminishing the opposition. Have actually just seen Corals have brought the price in but I think the logic still holds at current odds. Good luck :ok

Re: Champions League T20 Tuesday preview: 4pts Lahore vs Southern E - Over 8.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill This is an interesting match because both sides are going to look to win big so with that in mind the sixes line of 8.5 has to be under threat. The quicker both sides can score the better it will be for their chances of going into the next round and on a ground which is getting tired I would imagine we’ll be on one side of the square again. There should be loads of sixes in this one given the group situation. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/lahore-lions-vs-southern-express-betting-expect-the-ropes-to-be-cleared-often 3pts Northern Districts to beat Mumbai Indians 6/4 Stan James This match is an awkward one to bet on because it could be that neither side need to win to go through and that a reduced total that guarantees qualification will be the focus of attention rather than the win but I’m not wholly convinced the Kiwis will need to worry about that. Lahore will have to go some in the first match to threaten their run rate so they can concentrate on getting a big scalp going into the event. From what we’ve seen so far the Districts have looked much more confident and they’re the value here. Re: Champions League T20 Wednesday preview: 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Chennai Super Kings 5/4 Paddy Power These two know each other pretty well but we saw nothing in the IPL to suggest that the champions should be 5/4 in this match. They’re missing Shakib and Morkel yes but in Sunil Narine they have four banker overs and their batting line up is pretty long. Chennai bat long but they don’t have the greatest bowling attack in the world and if their bowlers get carted this could be a struggle for the yellow men. Kolkata look value to me. Re: Champions League T20 Top Kings XI Punjab bowler: Akshar Patel, 4/1 bet365. Possibly a wee bit of value here. Have just been reading Mitchell Johnson has a rib injury and will not be available for the start of the tourney; not currently clear when he will be released to Kings XI, if at all. Bet365 have MJ chalked up as even money favourite in this market. Akshar Patel and Johnson both took 17 IPL wickets this year. The only player to take more for Punjab was Sandeep Sharma (18), but he is not listed in their CLT20 squad so it looks like he may not feature. And more recently, Patel has just taken 9 wickets in the A Team quadrangular in Australia last month. Only one Indian took more. The next nearest Kings XI player was Rishi Dhawan with 5 (albeit from two fewer matches). He's only a young lad but overall is hopefully worthy of a small punt in the circumstances. Cheers.

Re: Champions League T20 Thursday preview: 4pts Kings XI vs Hobart - Over 35.5 boundaries 5/6 William Hill You’d expect the IPL side to win this on home soil but we saw quite often at the back end of the IPL that their bowling can really get carted. Whether Hobart have the batting depth to do some damage to it remains to be seen but they certainly have the top order to get stuck in. On the flip side the Punjab batting is as powerful as it comes so this should be high scoring with plenty of boundaries. Re: Champions League T20 Cheers mate. Friday preview: 4pts Northern Districts to beat Cape Cobras 4/5 Ladbrokes The wave of momentum is ready to be ridden by the Northern Districts and I think they will win this match. Amla aside there isn’t really a genuine batsman in this Cobras side with Duminy out of the picture they are more big hitting all rounders or bits and pieces players. The New Zealand champions line up well. They bat pretty deep and have a lot of bowling options and even at odds on I think they are rightly favourites here. Re: Champions League T20 Saturday previews: 4pts Dolphins to beat Perth Scorchers 11/10 Coral This is an interesting battle of two domestic champions and while the Dolphins have lost David Miller I still fancy them to come through here. Although Miller caught the eye in the Ram Slam others went well around him so they have men who can step up to the plate and I really like their bowling attack. There’s still a light look to the Scorchers batting and you’ll need to score runs here which leads me to favouring the South Africans. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dolphins-vs-perth-scorchers-betting-south-africans-can-win-battle-of-the-champions 4pts J.Holder's Performance Pts - 28&Over 5/6 Bet365 Barbados are heavy underdogs in this match probably due to the players that are missing for them so they will need experienced players to step up to the mark and one of those is Jason Holder. Holder is experienced in Indian conditions having played in the IPL and he should go well with the ball with his extra bounce against the Indian batsmen but with the likes of Smith, Pollard and Malik absent he may be shoved up the order to hit a clean ball so the performance target of 28 is well within his reach. Re: Champions League T20 Sunday early preview: 4pts Hobart Hurricanes to beat Cape Cobras 4/5 William Hill The way the Cobras bowled in their opening match has to be a concern in this match. They should come on for the run but it doesn’t look good anyway. Hobart bowled well and they looked good enough with the bat when they finally got going. Unless the South Africans improve dramatically with the ball then you would expect the Australians to win this. They had good preparation for this event and that showed in their opening match and can show again here. Re: Champions League T20 i liked punjab in the ipl but having watched them in their last 2 games of this cl they are nothing but chancers,im not saying they dont have the line up they have a very good batting line up but is it just me or do they always seem to waste it,ok they won their games but they defo didnt deserve to win today,i feel their sloppy batting is going to exit them from this tourney.

Re: Champions League T20 Hey guys KKR most match 6's vs Lahore Lions 8/11 Stan James. Not sure how many natural six hitters are in the LL side , Hafeez and Akmal are capable on their day, just feel KKR have plently of big hitting batsmen in the middle order who can cause big damage again, Pathan and the inform duo of RTD and Andre Russell, all dangerous if they get in.

Re: Champions League T20 Sunday later game preview: 4pts Kolkata Most 6s 8/11 Stan James Lahore have done well to get this far and later in the tournament they may well have their day in this group but I’m not convinced it will be here although they have more than enough dangerous players in their squad to make me reluctant to back the IPL champs at silly prices. One price which isn’t so silly is the 8/11 on Kolkata hitting the most sixes. Lahore aren’t a big hitting side and Kolkata’s bowlers are very tough to get away. Kolkata have some big hitters in their line up and I’ll be surprised if they don’t outhit the Pakistan outfit here. Re: Champions League T20 Monday preview: 4pts D.Smith's Performance Pts - 30&Over 5/6 Bet365 Dwayne Smith didn’t have the best of matches in the opening game but he’s not going to come up against any spin early in the piece in this match so he should be able to take advantage of the shorter boundaries on this ground and get off to a flier. His performance target is 30 which he could easily cover with the bat but he’s a gun fielder and bowls the odd over of seam up so that total looks comfortably within his reach. Re: Champions League T20 Tuesday preview: 4pts Northern Districts to beat Hobart Hurricanes 4/5 Skybet The Hurricanes saw off the Cobras last time out thanks to a crazy blitz from Aiden Blizzard but it won’t be easy to repeat that against this bowling attack and I will take the Districts to win this. The Kiwis are flying at the minute and looking brilliant with the bat and the ball. They have a number of international players in their side and that experience is really going well for them. They can keep winning here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/hobart-hurricanes-vs-northern-districts-betting-kiwis-can-see-off-the-aussies-in-raipur

Re: Champions League T20 Wednesday preview: 4pts S.Narine's Performance Pts - 30&Over 8/11 Bet365 Unless the dew gets involved you’d expect Kolkata to win this match but I like the look of Sunil Narine’s performance line here. It is 30 which he doubled in the last game against Lahore and you would think he will beat here too. Narine has foxed much better batsmen than the ones he’ll bowl to here in his career and on a wicket which suits him I would expect another couple of wickets from the wily West Indian. Re: Champions League T20 Thursday preview: 4pts U.Akmal's Performance Pts - 30&Over 5/6 Bet365 If the Lahore Lions are to win this match you get the feeling Umar Akmal will have a big role to play. These boundaries aren’t going to be big enough for him and he has the potential to turn a good score into a formidable one or to play the long game if the Lions are in early trouble. When he has the gloves he has the ability to change a game too so I expect a strong performance from the Pakistan international. Re: Champions League T20 Friday previews: 4pts Cape Cobras vs Barbados - 10 or more sixes 8/11 Bet365 Based on what we’ve seen so far I think we have to assume that we’re going to see a high scoring match here. Both batting line ups have already fired and neither bowling attack has hit their straps. Generally when a Caribbean side plays we see a lot of big hits and I expect that to ring true here. We’ve seen in past matches here that the boundaries are accessible so I expect the sixes column to run well into double figures. Kings XI’s bowling isn’t brilliant and their top order hasn’t really fired yet like it did in the IPL. I think given their bowling attack and batting depth the Kiwis are overpriced here. Re: Champions League T20 Saturday previews: 4pts Lahore Lions to beat Dolphins 4/5 Ladbrokes For whatever reason the Dolphins bowling just hasn’t shown up in this tournament and that isn’t a good thing. The Lahore Lions are inexperienced at this level but they have a good all round side and that should be good enough for them to go ahead and win this game. Their bowling is particularly competent the longer the innings goes on and they have enough finishers to do some damage with the bat so I like the Lions here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dolphins-vs-lahore-lions-betting-lahore-can-see-off-the-south-african-champions 4pts C.Simmons Over 19.5 runs 5/6 Ladbrokes Craig Simmons has begun this tournament like he has played in India all of his life and I think he can continue that form here. One thing we know about this Bangalore ground is that these boundaries are nowhere near big enough for him. There’s nothing in Chennai’s bowling attack to scare him so I would expect the big Australian to light up Perth’s innings by making it to at least 20 if not quite a few more. Re: Champions League T20 Sunday previews: 3pts Barbados to beat Hobart 7/4 BetVictor This has the makings of an interesting match. Hobart have looked good in this tournament so far but I just wonder how much we can take out of their match with the Northern Districts. They seem to struggle with the bat at the start of their innings which could get Jason Holder and Ravi Rampaul into nick early on and if that is the case the way the Tridents finish both innings they would have every chance here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/hobart-hurricanes-vs-barbados-tridents-betting-barbados-may-be-overpriced-in-sunday-opener 2pts D.Miller Top Kings XI Batsman 6/1 Stan James I would expect the Kings XI to win this match but they might rest one or two players now they are through so they’re not really a betting proposition. One thing that is a betting proposition though is David Miller to top score for the IPL side. He destroyed the Cobras’ hopes of winning the South African T20 with a blistering innings for the Dolphins and he’ll know this attack well. He’s been in good form in this tournament and looks overpriced for the top bat at 6/1. Re: Champions League T20 Monday preview: 4pts Kolkata vs Dolphins - Under 13 sixes 10/11 Bet365 I’m not one for betting on the outcome of dead rubbers but one bet which I do like here is for the sixes line not to be covered. This isn’t a huge ground but it still takes a decent enough biff to get it over the ropes and with wickets tiring and starting to turn coupled with this Knight Riders bowling attack finding its straps I just sense that 13 sixes could be too high to reach. Re: Champions League T20 Lahore Lions Vs Perth Scorchers Nathan Coulter-Nile 30&over performance PTS 5/6 bet365 NCN should have enough pace to trouble some of these Pakistani batsmen, no mug with the bat as he showed in the last game either, Perth don't bat too deep so he's likely to get a hit, plus he's usually fielding in the V at long on or long off where there's a chance he can snaffle a catch or two.

Re: Champions League T20 Good luck Charlie that sounds good to me :) One I have seen that could be of interest, Lahore most match Sixes, 6/4 bet365. Lahore need a big NRR-boosting win to have any hope of qualifying, so bat 1st or 2nd they'll surely go for it as best they can. Main reservation is probably about their ability to execute - Shahzad, Akmal are big hitters but after that not sure ? Perth bowlers also decent enough; maybe they chuck in the towel now they are out, maybe not. Marsh and Simmons (plus NCN of course) can also cause devastation and two of Lions' bowlers have had their actions reported in this comp so perhaps their confidence might be dented ? Still though, I remember Mumbai were in an identical position last year and easily won the sixes matchbet on that occasion (against Perth no less), and there is enough in the price here to make it worth considering I feel. Cheers all.
