  1. Re: Champions League T20 I agree mate, seems like an over-reaction to the Narine news to me.
  2. Re: Champions League T20 Good luck Charlie that sounds good to me :) One I have seen that could be of interest, Lahore most match Sixes, 6/4 bet365. Lahore need a big NRR-boosting win to have any hope of qualifying, so bat 1st or 2nd they'll surely go for it as best they can. Main reservation is probably about their ability to execute - Shahzad, Akmal are big hitters but after that not sure ? Perth bowlers also decent enough; maybe they chuck in the towel now they are out, maybe not. Marsh and Simmons (plus NCN of course) can also cause devastation and two of Lions' bowlers have had their actions reported in this comp so perhaps their confidence might be dented ? Still though, I remember Mumbai were in an identical position last year and easily won the sixes matchbet on that occasion (against Perth no less), and there is enough in the price here to make it worth considering I feel. Cheers all.
  3. Re: Champions League T20 Thanks Kev. You make a good point there with Perera, definitely a decent player. Good luck with the boundaries today.
  4. Re: Champions League T20 Top Kings XI Punjab bowler: Akshar Patel, 4/1 bet365. Possibly a wee bit of value here. Have just been reading Mitchell Johnson has a rib injury and will not be available for the start of the tourney; not currently clear when he will be released to Kings XI, if at all. Bet365 have MJ chalked up as even money favourite in this market. Akshar Patel and Johnson both took 17 IPL wickets this year. The only player to take more for Punjab was Sandeep Sharma (18), but he is not listed in their CLT20 squad so it looks like he may not feature. And more recently, Patel has just taken 9 wickets in the A Team quadrangular in Australia last month. Only one Indian took more. The next nearest Kings XI player was Rishi Dhawan with 5 (albeit from two fewer matches). He's only a young lad but overall is hopefully worthy of a small punt in the circumstances. Cheers.
  5. Re: Champions League T20 Looks like they are on Eurosport 2 today mate.
  6. Re: Champions League T20 Good luck mate :) I too like the look of the Cobras at the price. Am also one of those who put a couple of quid on Lahore, I don't expect to see a return but the odds didn't match the quality of their personnel as far as I could tell. Couple of top team batsmen I have taken: Hobart: Shoaib Malik, 5/1 Stan James Thought he was terrific in CPL. Didn't have a great Big Bash but that is a while ago now and I think he has a good chance if he bats 3/4 again for Hobart and carries Barbados form. Dunk has tasted Indian conditions from IPL this year but it will be newer thing for the likes of Paine, Birt etc and hopefully experience will tell. Barbados: Shane Dowrich, 10/1 Coral He is not the best batsman on the circuit from what I've seen, but he did open with Dwayne Smith in the CPL which makes him a handy price if he does so again. Particularly with the absence of Smith, Pollard and Malik diminishing the opposition. Have actually just seen Corals have brought the price in but I think the logic still holds at current odds. Good luck :ok
  7. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Caught a bit on TV, looked like a good occasion. Nice start from Essex. Was it me or did one of the boundaries seem very short ? Have to keep an eye on the sixes lines for future matches at Lords.
  8. Re: NatWest T20 Blast I think Notts were subject to a pitch inspection for their last CC game at Trent Bridge, the game finished in about three days ? Hopefully means they have turned it into a batsman's paradise for you in response. Good luck with all these. I like the Worcs Pears shout from both you guys tonight. Am also on Essex for the outright, like you Kev i think the make-up of their side is very good. Hopefully Jesse Ryder doesn't end up in disgrace in a Chelmsford boozer ! Seen a few articles on the importance of this new format for the domestic game, hope it's a success this year for the counties and us punters alike.
  9. Re: County Championship 2014 Good luck this week Kev and Fishy. I've had small play on Sussex x Yorks double, 2.80 skybet. Sussex look bang on it, 2 wins this season. Ciders have managed two draws, i think they might have a tough season in 2014. Sssx look stronger just now in my humble opinion. Yorks also look solid, massive win vs Nants last week and now Root available again to augment a decent order. I wouldn't like to dismiss Middx, people like Robson and Finn are on it. However Yorks I believe won at HQ last season and look like they have enough belief to do so again. Prices were perhaps a bit thin but let's see how we go. Think weather not great for next couple of days so it might be draws again for us. Best of luck :)
  10. Re: County Championship 2014 Well done on Glamorgan gents, and Kev on Sussex :ok 98 for Mr Evans as well, I see ( shame none of them count towards our bets ! ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Re: County Championship 2014 Best of luck Kev and Travis. Madsen looks like a very good call. I've had a few coins e/ w on Jaik Mickelburgh for Div 2 runs at 33/1, 850-ish in only 13 matches last year, looks a talented lad and could feature in the places if he kicks on. Madsen does look the one to beat though. i've also gone for Laurie Evans top Div 1 runs at 33/1, he was impressive last season and, if Warks are to go well with Troughton, Bell and (presumably) Trott absent at various times, he could feature if he can maintain form. Finishing top probably a big ask. I'll be delighted if your Kent prediction turns out to be correct Kev ! Bollinger could be a good signing, hopefully he avoids substitute duty for Aus over the summer. Notts do look solid this year don't they, will be surprising if they are not shaking the tree for some silverware come the autumn. Good luck guys :)
