There is no way Maid in Rio should have lost to a 33/1 shot or finished outside the places. I can only think the trainer wanted to bring down the +10 handicap it achieved prior to this race, by throwing it, in favour of another meeting. Bank now £529.75. The 1st leg of todays treble came in, Rabbitohs won 50-10. Castleford -26 may be a bit dodgy as Cas are reported to be resting a few players with next weeks semi-final in mind.
