Flat Racing 21st March

3.00 Lingfield Cravat hasn’t won since his 2 yr old days, has tumbled down the weights didn’t show a huge amount on season reappearance looking in need of the run. 2lb lower today but will clearly need to step up latest effort. The Firm has won his last 2 starts at Dundalk, winning a maiden claimer and a classified stakes race. Has since changed hands and will perhaps not find things so easy back in handicap and yard just struggling slightly for form. Skidby Mill has been in form this winter over this CD, ultimately held last time out but still really good effort, this mark might just be beyond her. Titan Triumph has struggled to find any form lately and his slippery slope continues down the weights and clearly needs to find more. Bloodsweatandtears can be forgiven the run last time out when not getting race run to suit with the first 2 home front runners in the race, he made some late progress. He has dropped to his last winning mark and drops back into class 6 again. 2pt win Bloodsweatandtears 11/2 PP 4.10 Lingfield This race should be run very strongly there are several front runners in the field. Chilworth Icon wasn’t in much form when last seen on turf and probably high enough in handicap on return to action. Bravo Echo is a long time between winning at present and doesnt look the best treated and clearly needs to step up. Brownsea Brink won 3 on the trot last summer struggled off todays mark the next 2 starts, won fresh last year so not totally discounted but mark looks harsh enough. Purcell is another that returns from a break needing a career best of this mark and this mark looks harsh enough on what he has shown so far. Corporal Maddox did well last tiem out returned to 6f but should appreciate this return to 7f, last win came off 2lb lower mark over this CD will need to be at his best off this sort of mark. Jack Of Diamonds has good record on AW 10 runs 2 wins and 7 placed efforts, not at best last couple of starts on turf when last seen. Last run on the AW was a 2nd behind Forceful Appeal over this CD, remains 2lb above that mark though but does go well fresh. Forceful Appeal reopposes today, he is 7lb worse off with Jack today but has continued progress this winter scoring very easily last time out, the 2nd boosted that form twice since and a 6lb rise looks very fair on that effort. Wide draw perhaps not the worst around here given her hold up style and the likeness of a decent gallop 2pt win Forceful Appeal 4/1 hills 8.05 Wolverhampton A nice class 7 handicap to try and finish the day on a winner! Supa Seeker finally got his head back in front last time out, thrown several races away this winter. He is effectively 8lb higher today under a 2lb new mark and 6lb penalty, not the obvious sort to follow up. Catching Zeds has taken some time to get back to form after a lengthy lay off but did so last time out in first time blinkers, 3lb rise fair and still well handicapped on very best if anywhere near as good as he once was. Blinkers also need to work again. Brown Pete has shown nothing this winter, had a short break and will need to have gained something from that to be winning again, is dangerously well handicapped and was well backed earlier in the week before becoming a non runner. Mr Chocolate Drop has become hard to predict but on a reasonable mark and reasonable efforts recently, remains a tricky one to predict at present. Troy Boy was 1/2length behind Catching Zeds on penultimate start but failed to back that up last time out and needs to bounce back now. The Bay Bandit might be the safest option, he won last time out beating Supa Seeker by a head 3lb higher today and has won off this mark in the past. Has also managed to string good efforts together in the past unlike most of these. He is also 5lb better off with Supa Seeker as he is running under a penalty so looks great opportunity now. 2pt win The Bay Bandit 4/1 bet365

Re: Flat Racing 21st March 8.05 WOLVERHAMPTON MR CHOCOLATE DROP 10-1 1pt ew (bet365) 9 go to post for this CLASS 7 handicap and it is an extraordinarily poor race to say the least...The favourite here is BROWN PETE who is now with the Stokell stable..Now I don't know what the deal is with Violet Jordan horses owned by Stephen Arnold as they all appear to be trained by Anne Stokell now..Now Stokell isn't a bad trainer and I love her operation but at least now she realises she is not a good jockey and find it hard to do the weight. Any way enough about that I think the selection should beat BROWN PETE.How it's favourite is beyond me,its form is 40980- 6..it's been really poor for Stokell and hasn't been great in its last few races before that..When MR CHOCOLATE last faced brown Pete in Novemeber 2013 over C&D both horses were way off the pace and Chocolate dropped didn't appear to be put into the race and that was reflected by the sp of 25-1..It has beaten brown Pete early last year again over C&D easily beating the fancied favourite by five lengths although out of the places.. Through a form line through Supa Seeker and The Bay Bandit who is the third favourite,it also has a chance at the weights against the favourite based on these opposing runs.Speaking Of Supa seeking who runs under a six pound penalty after winning a seller last week,it is In form and should be favourite. However MR CHOCOLATE DROP has faced SUPA SEEKER twice in 2014 .In their last meeting at a kempton on the 13th January MR CHOCOLATE drop was the victor by a neck ..Based on that race MR CHOCOLATE DROP gets a 21 lb pull at the weights and should confirm placings.. In their other meeting, which was over C&D on the 2nd January MR CHOCOLATE DROP again beat SUPA SEEKER,again by a length and gets a sixteen pound weight pull based on that race should overcome SUPA SEEKER .Although as always there is question marks about the effort of some of the horses you have to go with the facts..Now SUPA SEEKER is better drawn tomorrow but over 9f the selection is a hold up horse and should ping past along the last furlong to leave the heavier weighted horses behind under jockey J QUINN.. Again through formline it is weighted to beat BROWN PETE,THE BAY BANDIT,SUPA SEEKER,CATCHING ZEDS AND TROY BOY which full up 5 out of the 6 horses at the head of the market.IMO if it is off it will go very close
