Made it over to my Festival for Tuesday and Wednesday. Was the first time for me and as expected, it was quite an overwhelming experience. I spent Champions Day in the Club Enclosure and Wednesday in the Best Mate. Both have their own advantages. Thought Best Mate was pretty decent value for money, with a relaxed atmosphere and not too bad viewing from the two stands (if you have binoculars). But of course you get to see much more of the horses with a Club ticket. It was pretty full on Tuesday, right on the edge of getting uncomfortable but still alright. Probably wouldn't like to experience a Gold Cup on the track though, which must be just a bit too much then. So after all it were two enjoyable days of racing. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
