Re: Sky Bet League 1 > March 1st & 2nd Carlise - Brentford League 1 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Brentford Odds: 1,92 Stake: 6/10 units Bookmaker: Nordicbet Brentford, how will they react after losing their first game in over 4 months? We predict them to get right back on track! Carlise is a weak side, despite getting a few players on loan lately they lost at home to Rotherham 1-0 but it could in all honestly have been a lot bigger goal difference. Brentford is a really good side, consistent and they play with high tempo, some speedy players that will hurt Carlise. Defensively we don't think Carlise has what it takes to match Brentford's attack, and pace.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > March 1st & 2nd Wolves v Port Vale Wolves to score over 2.5 goals @ 7/4 in various places. Nothing seems like stopping the Wolves juggernaut at the moment after they secured a 6th win in a row against Brentford last weekend. Port Vale - and a Staffordshire derby - stand in their way on Saturday, and while the match outright market looks a bit short I like the look of the home side to score over 2.5 goals. It's something they've managed three times already during this incredible run (including last week at Griffin Park) there's certainly a lot of attacking potential in the side with the 3 of Michael Jacobs, James Henry and Bakary Sako interchanging nicely behind lone striker Nouha Dicko. Vale, on the other hand, have conceded 2 or more goals 8 times on their travels in League 1 (only keeping 5 clean sheets in that time). They have failed to win on the road since the end of November and that has seen their feint play-off hopes die. Micky Adams' side have settled in well to life in the third tier but mid-table would be a great achievement and I can see them being brushed aside here.

Carlise - Brentford League 1 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Brentford Odds: 1,92 Stake: 6/10 units Bookmaker: Nordicbet Brentford, how will they react after losing their first game in over 4 months? We predict them to get right back on track! Carlise is a weak side, despite getting a few players on loan lately they lost at home to Rotherham 1-0 but it could in all honestly have been a lot bigger goal difference. Carlisle lost 2-1 not 1-0 , but you are right that Rotherham should have been out of sight by HT I thought the train bit was interesting (see manager quote below). It's the longest journey in England that Brentford make (up to 6 hours). I'm sure they will go the night before !! Nacho Novo used to play for Glasgow rangers ! Not sure how old he is now. Brentford will be playing in their home kit which I think is always an advantage ! Source BBC: Carlisle United striker Nacho Novo is hoping to make his first start since joining the club last month. Midfielders James Berrett (hamstring) and Paul Thirlwell (calf) and left-back Conor Townsend (foot) are all out. Brentford have Italy Under-21 striker Marcello Trotta available despite an international call-up as they look to recover from a first loss in 20 games. Head coach Mark Warburton says one or two others will be checked, but is expecting no withdrawals. Brentford manager Mark Warburton told BBC London 94.9: "The boys have lost one in 20 - if that's a disaster, I'll take a disaster. "[The 3-0 defeat by] Wolves was disappointing, but there are a lot of points still to be played for. "We're still in a good position, we're fit and well, and hopefully we'll give a good performance this weekend. "We'll travel up to Carlisle by train, the boys can get up and stretch from time to time, so we've done the right thing hopefully."

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > March 1st & 2nd Rotherham v Notts County Home win 4/6 Ladbrokes I think it is decent value. Source BBC Rotherham United have a doubt over Wes Thomas (thigh) but the striker should feature as the Millers look to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches. Notts County are without striker Jimmy Spencer who is suspended after being sent off in the home defeat against Shrewsbury Town last Saturday. Enoch Showunmi, Kwesi Appiah and Ronan Murray are all possible replacements. But defenders Mustapha Dumbuya (thigh) and Dean Leacock, and striker Callum Ball (ankle) are not likely to return. Rotherham United boss Steve Evans told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It would take two bad weeks for us to lose our place in the play-offs and that could happen. "I think we've been terrific in these last six weeks. The group has been stunning but I think there is so much more to come. "It's a dangerous game for us because people around the country will have this as a home banker. Notts County manager Shaun Derry told BBC Radio Nottingham: "These are probably the most important eight weeks of their careers - and my career. "It doesn't matter you have achieved in the past or whether it's somebody who wants to stay at this level or somebody who wants to get higher. "Ultimately, you will be judged on the next eight weeks and you have to be right for that."

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > March 1st & 2nd 1-2 obviously, my bad! Carlise defensively is nothing extra. Brentford could really hurt them offensively. Rotherham strong physically, should be to much for Notts C. But I prefer Brentford. Also looking at Walsall to get something from the Preston game.
