richard-westwood
not a huge amount out today ........very little value out really ............. 3.25 south hannahs turn 99.23 monsieur Jamie 98.12 powerful wind 97.77 beacon tarn 97.77 hannahs turn seemed to take a giant step forward last time out and if that wasn't just a freak one off then will be extremely hard to beat in this with conditions to suit .........but this is no easy race ...........monsieur Jamie is capable of putting in decent times and beacon tarn an unknown quantity also ..........but prices aren't brilliant ......hannahs turn best price 11/4 with betvic ..........only just scrapes in given the opposition .............and the others are too short to take this fav on so best bet seems to stick with fav and hope it was no fluke last time ...................keep stakes small hannahs turn 2pts win 11/4 bet vic
chris34
Re: flat racing tues 14th jan 3.25 Southwell Really good handicap over the flying 5f with 7 of these 10 CD winners in the past. This mark looks to be holding Powerful Win for now and may need some help from the handicapper now. The Art Of Racing looked a promising sorts but has gone the wrong way on the face of it, has joined this yard which does well with AW runners but failed to spark on fibresand debut on penultimate start and no better on polytrack last time out best watched until spark is back blinkers may help today. Hannahs Turn is a stalwart around here and ran a career best here last week, 6lb penalty makes it tougher again but did it easy last week. Drop back in trip to 5f not ideal although has won over it is perhaps opposable at a short enough price for that reason. Moorhouse Lad has had 3 starts on the surface and has won 1 and 2nd on the other 2 occasions latest being penultimate start, well handicapped on his best form and clearly unexposed on surface but wont get an easy time upfront in this field. Sleep Blue Ocean is a CD winner and will enjoy the strong pace that is likely in this race but he looks high enough in the weights at present. Clubland is another that is currently struggling against the handicapper and needs to find more. Beacon Tarn won over CD last time out and is now 2 from 2 around here so clearly unexposed but a 10lb rise and much stronger race may stop further progression at this stage. Bapak Bangsawan has been in good form recently but was held off his revised mark last time out and the switch back to fibresand will need to bring about some improvement, has always struggled off this sort of mark. Monsieur Jamie might be the one to capitalise on what is likely to be a fierce pace, although yet to win off this mark he has clearly been competitive off this mark in stronger races than this one and he may just find this one falling apart at the death just as he likes them too. 1pt win Monsieur Jamie 4/1 bet365
