kevshat
After their one sided ODI series last week, South Africa and India embark on a ridiculously short two match Test series which begins on Wednesday. Both games are on Sky and the series builds up nicely to SA vs Australia in the New Year so should contain some decent cricket as the two top ranked sides in the ICC rankings do battle. NoFear
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series would have loved to bet on the first test but weather forecast is so bad, that the draw is the most likely outcome and would kill any non-match-outcome bets that i like to place usually. kevshat
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series Series preview: 3pts South Africa to win 2-0 2/1 Winner Sports With the lack of a warm up match and a diabolical recent away record India are bang up against it here and I feel only a substantial amount of rain will give them anything from this series. Rain aside, and if the Indian batting fares no better than in the ODIs even with the rain, South Africa should have way too much and they can win this series 2-0 to preserve their number one ranking. kevshat
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series 1st Test preview: 5pts D.Steyn Over 2.5 1st Inns Wickets 5/6 Ladbrokes This is a ground which Dale Steyn thrives at and with the pace and bounce in the wicket that is no surprise. His last five first innings figures on this ground reads 5/34, 4/113, 5/51, 4/64 and 6/8 so Steyn must absolutely love bowling here. Those figures suggest he is tough to face whoever he is bowling at let alone a side who don’t play pace and bounce very well. Steyn picked up 3/25 in the ODI here a couple of weeks ago and I think he can get three more first innings wickets here. neilovan
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series Guys, Forget going for the India win here. I live in JHB, 5 km's from the Wanderers and it is going to rain this afternoon. Thunder storm is already building up. Neil.
kevshat
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series Still all day tomorrow though and SA could only last 75 overs when the wicket was playing much better than it is now...
neilovan
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series SA played like dogs, losing wickets for nothing at 130 for 1. Caught guys off guard. Many players playing for their lives. The knives are out for Alvaro Pietersen Tahir won't play next test, Faf du Plessis is under big pressure. Will be very interesting first 20 overs of SA 2nd innings. India have runs to play with and will try and buy 2 wickets. If SA really come at them and put on 90 for 1 in 25 overs it will be game on. Wonder which 'roller' they use at the innings break ...
neilovan
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series odds are tumbling. Was at 6/1 SA win. India look flat. Gotta be careful with the bowlers as there are only 2 days between tests. It not hot here for this time of the year. Jo'burg overcast . Think Morkel will bat as a number 10 if needed. kevshat
Re: South Africa vs India - Test Series 2nd Test preview: 2pts India to win 2nd Test 11/2 Coral South Africa have lost their last four Test matches on this ground and having been outplayed for four days in Johannesburg before surprisingly going defensive on the final day there’s more than enough to suggest India are overpriced at 11/2 here. This wicket should suit the Indians even more than the one in Johannesburg and with no Morkel to contend with the Indian batsmen should be a lot more comfortable in this game. They’re the value at 11/2, particularly if they can win the toss and bat first.
