National Hunt Racing > Tuesday December 3rd

Sedgefield 1:30 Three horse race here and you can make a case for all three. I personally think Rev It Up should be favourite for this race ahead of Bit Of A Jig. He deat heated to win at Chepstow around this time last year and although he was well beat on seasonal debut last time out I am sure he must have needed the run. One of Paul Nicholl's best novices Just A Par was in that race so it could turn out to be a tough race he was in.. Vaughan yard are in decent nick and Richard Johnson is riding out of his skin. Rev It Up WIN @ 5/4 Paddy Power

Re: National Hunt Racing > Tuesday December 3rd Sedgefield 200 - Bonnie Burnett 10/1 Corals I think this is a pretty moderate race and whilst I can see why people might fancy the likes of Travis County or Bright Applause I certainly dont think they are shoe in and I am willing to take them on with Bonnie Burnett who looks like she might be capable of exploiting this mark on better ground. Her Newcastle 3rd has worked out quite nicely as she looked like she was left to do her own thing on the back of a nasty looking fall at Southwell previously. The 1st, 2nd and 5th of that race have all gone on to show improved form making this mare potentially rated around a mark of 110 if the form is read literally. Even in that Southwell race, she looked to be running nicely on the heels of the leaders (in fact she was probably only just off the lead off the final bend - still on bridle) when she fell and again the 2nd, 3rd and 4th have all done ok since. Im not sure she would have been able to win that race as I get the feeling the ground would have held her back at the finish which is also what looked to be the case on the mares handicap debut at Ayr (soft) as she was tanking before fading towards the end of her race. Again that form has worked out with the winner and 2nd showing improved form in the mean time. Its a concern that she was so below par LTO but it was her seasonal debut and it was on ground far softer than ideal. Even then she did make some steady headway into the race before fading badly. I might be reading more into it than there really is, but I am expecting a much improved performance tomorrow and if I am right, she could easily defy a mark of 100 tomorrow.
