Only one game midweek in the English lower tier - Pompey V Wycombe on Wednesday. Odds are out with various firms and they're roughly :- Portsmouth 2.10 Draw 3.3 Wycombe 3.4 They look about right but god knows we need a win! Saturday we managed an uninspiring 0-0 draw away to Hartlepool, and we can be thankful of the clean sheet. It should be noted that caretaker manager Andy Awford (a former defender) has taken a much more defensive approach in an attempt to get some stability at the back before we can push on to get the wins we need. On Saturday we brought off Andy Barcham with five minutes to play and replaced him with a defender! It's really back to basics for us. He's already given young 17 year old central defender, Jack Whatmough his debut, starting him in both our previous games. I think this will be a really really tight game.
