National Hunt Racing > Thursday November 7th

Musselburgh 3:30 - Loganbet Brechin The Special Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle (4) The Nicky Richards stable are in flying form at the moment and he is definitely worth following at this moment in time. He has a gelding running here tomorrow owned by JP McManus that is of serious interest, Abbey Garth. He won here at Musselburgh on debut so course form is a big plus. He had his seasonal debut last month and ran a blinder, travelling well for a long way finishing 4th to Glencree at Kelso. Runs off the same mark here and more improvement I do expect. Abbey Garth WIN @ 9/2 Sky Bet

Re: National Hunt Racing > Thursday November 7th Musselburgh 330 - Ueuetotl 9/2 William Hill I think this horse has some smart enough novice form to make him an interest proposition now entering handicaps. He should have won LTO before clattering the last 2 flights and while that is a worry, the horse appears to be a decent enough jumper on the whole and I will put that down to rustiness. The form of his 3 performances before that look pretty solid in the context of this race with several of the horses running above their marks in subsequent races. The ground and trip will be perfect for him and the track also looks like it would probably suit his running style as well. With regards to the rest, Redeyes, Bogside, Any Given Moment and to an extent Abbey Garth look to have a squeak as well. Redeyes looks like he could be a progressive horse but so far his form amounts to very little and I would prefer to see him do something of note before getting involved. The form of Bogside's narrow defeat to All That Remains gives him an excellent chance but he hasnt won since April 2011 and if he was well handicapped he really should have won on his last start. Any Given Moment is a horse that I think is well handicapped and can run well fresh but I think the horse will need further to be at his best but he may be one to keep an eye on further down the line. Finally Abbey Garth ran with promise LTO before weakening out of it towards the finish. Not much has come out of that race so far and I would prefer to see something more substantial, especially over this trip, to get involved at these prices.
