2.40 Exeter Sonofvik 6/5 Stan James BOG Although he has been off the track for 18 months I fancy Sonofvik to put his chasing experience to good use and collect. His 2l 2nd to Grand Crus at Newbury is a standout effort. Generally speaking horses coming back need to be relatively fit or risk breaking down so I have no fears there. Kentford Grey Lady was a very good hurdler but didnt really progress last year at one might have hoped. There are races to be won with her in this sphere with her stable in great form, though not today. Sonofvik will either win or fall. 10 Points win Sonofvik 6/5 Stan James BOG 3.10 Exeter Minella Speed 7/2 Coral BOG Twice a winner in Ireland on the flat on heavy, Brinestine disappointed last year over hurdles, jumping poorly fto before falling and again last March where his confidence may have been shattered. Sure to have been well schooled since then, the jury is out. Horizontal speed won a bumper last season before being run out of it close home by Lordofthehouse at Kempton. However the one they all have to beat here is Minella Speed who dotted up on heavy at Sligo in May and is a horse of considerable potential having also won a point to point. 10 Points win Minella Speed 7/2 Coral BOG
