Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Sept 14 Boston v Guiseley Finally opposing Guiseley paid off last week as Brackley beat them 2-0. That defeat cost Steve Kittrick his job which seems rather harsh to me given the squad is a fair bit weaker than the last couple of years and their start hasn’t been truly awful. Sometimes a loss of a manger can improve a team, but I have a feeling this could hinder them more than anything especially until they get a new full time manager in. Boston have got off to a decent enough start to the season especially at home and I think they can get three more points here with BetVictor going 11/8 about a Boston win. Bradford Park Avenue v AFC Telford BPA have drew three games on the bounce before winning their first match of the season at Worcester last week. The thing is they have been playing the weaker sides in the league and now they host the ante-post favourites for the Skrill North and I don’t think they will be up to the test. AFC lost last week but I think that was down to the fact that they were down to ten men and to be fair Harrogate are a good side anyway. Coral are 6/5 about an away win and that looks a fair price. Dorchester v Bishop’s Stortford Dorchester have managed one point in the Skrill South so far and have looked pretty hopeless. Bishop’s Stortford have thrived since their move from the Skrill North to the Skrill South and are looking like a team who could be capable of mounting a play-off bid given how well they are playing. Most bookies are odds on which is what I think they should be, but BetVictor are 21/20 and that is a decent price.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Sept 14 Not loads for me this weekend with work distractions, but two takes: Boreham Wood at home to Gosport Borough (11/8 Boyle) Two underachievers meet but at least in the short-term I think things look brighter for the home side. They did well at Weston until a midway sending off and the arrival of some new bodies will freshen the squad up. Gosport haven't yet found a way of playing at this level, and though I think they have the personnel to survive here they are some way off being the sort of side that can regularly gather points. Stockport County at home to Leamington (6/5 Marathon) It's hard to endorse the idea that Stockport have turned the corner but I think Leamington are a good team to be meeting - they've good players but they've looked tactically short of what is required. I'm not Paul Holleran's biggest fan and I'm not sure his conservative approach is doing the squad justice. Stockport have long-term off-the-field problems but the players responded well last week to Ian Bogie's departure. Leamington are clearly much more proficient than Gainsborough but even so, Stockport look value at this mark.
