Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 Latest on Farnborough:

Representatives of The Football Conference met with the proposed Board members of Boro FC Limited (t/a as Farnborough Football Club), and their advisers, in London today. The club has been provided with certain pre conditions to its entry into the Competition and have been given 14 days in which to comply with them. Pending its compliance, the club will not be admitted into the competition nor will it be permitted to undertake any fixtures. No further statements will be issued or made by either party in the interim period.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 Eastleigh looking good value at 11/10 at Basingstoke. solid start for them. Steady win against an improved Sutton squad followed up by a hard working win at Bath who themselves have started better than expected and should add to their points tally with a win at home to Gosport currently 10/11 but sure to drift.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 Havant & Waterlooville at home to Weston-super-Mare (Evs Corals) A decent price about a decent side. I can't really find too much fault with Weston's early efforts - an unlucky defeat at home to Eastbourne followed by an excellent win at Dorchester. There has been minimum disruption over the summer, with just a few additions to a squad that is coming developing well together. But Havant will be a much stiffer test. They've only played once so far and did pretty well at Ebbsfleet in a 0-0. Havant are better organised than last season while still offering the kind of goal threat that neither Eastbourne nor Dorchester can muster, and I think Weston will find it tough.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 Two tips from addpea, who is away this weekend - posted with his permission: Altrincham v Stockport As I write only two firms have priced up the Skrill North matches so bigger prices may appear. Altrincham have landed the Nap selection last Saturday and Tuesday night and although they aren’t the Nap’s this weekend I still think they are worth backing. Stockport look to be struggling to adjust to life in the Skrill North and as I predicted they struggled at Workington on Tuesday night although annoyingly they did end up getting a point. This should be an even tougher test than Workington or Boston (who they faced on day one) and I think they are going to be defeated again. Obviously this is a bit of a local derby, but given Stockport’s stature I can imagine every team in the league will be desperate to beat them this season and this will be even higher for their local rivals Altrincham. With such a strong strike force I think they will give Stockport plenty of problems with backing at 6/5 (check for bigger) with BetVictor. Solihull Moors v Histon Solihull could only draw against Oxford City when I tipped them up on Tuesday night, but I think they are worth backing again against a youthful Histon team. I know we are only two games in, but they suggest my theory that they will be better at home than away this season. They beat Colwyn Bay 3-1 last Saturday before losing 3-0 at Brackley on Tuesday night. Because they are such a young team they will suffer from inexperience when they go away from home and I believe, like Brackley, Solihull have the quality to punish that inexperience. They are a shade of odds on at the moment at 19/20 with BetVictor and I make them the best bet of the weekend.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 It's not very often I back a team as short as 8/11 but I can see value in that price from coral about Bromley at home to Tonbridge, especially if Angels Manager Tom Warrilow persists with the 5-3-2 he has employed in their 2 league defeats to date, as their wing backs get caught out of position & the three centre backs Miles, Elphick & Borrowdale look painfully lacking in pace. Bromley have had an excellent start, scoring 6 without reply in their two league games, this after an excellent pre-season in which they beat Millwall, Dartford & Welling & held Charlton to a draw.

Re: England > Weekend > Skrill North & South Aug 24 I think Boreham Wood are a reasonable price at 3/4 (BetVictor) to get maximum points against Hayes. Hayes have carried on their poor form from the back end of last season and are still getting used to a new boss, Phil Babb. Boreham have strengthened their attack somewhat and should have enough to see off their visitors.
