Jimmy2shoes
Trainer Mr M.Johnston sends just the one runner to Nottingham for Race 3' on the card, with 17 lining up its also a bold looking move. The 3yr old filly was a very expensive purchase and its only a matter of time before she starts to fully understand the racing game, from 3 starts her best effort was at Hamilton Pk running over 6f on softish ground, she was 2nd that day and was also just headed in the last few strides, she should encounter better ground today and what with jockey J.Fanning getting the leg up for the first time she looks certain to go very close. Mr Johnston has given her 4 entries, today at Nottingham over the 6f, but the other entries are over the 7f, she looks a good prospect and defo one for the NB. The track is unknown but this being Mr Johnston's sole card runner speaks volumes. 18:05 Nottingham - Pilates.
arsenalpunter
Re: Flat Racing Tuesday 13th Aug 19.35 Nottingham 5f 13yds Class 5 Simply Cartons Production Handicap Selection: Beau Mistral Beau Mistral hasn’t been seen in the winners enclosure since July 2012 despite some creditable efforts since, and he now looks to be back on a much more winnable mark and he is taken to improve on his 2nd last time out by winning this sprint at Nottingham, ahead of Amenable who is seeking his 4th win in under a month. The selections last win came at Chester over 5f in a Class 3 event last summer off a mark of 79, he then competed various events from 5f to 7f mostly in Class 4 company, his mark has continued to tumble and he is now on a career low mark of 64. On his two most recent efforts he has been dropped back into Class 5 company, firstly at Nottingham where he finished 7th of 12 over 5f. The Good to Soft ground may not have helped his chances that day and he improved last time out when finishing 2nd at Haydock last Friday, he finished 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner Gran Canaria Queen, but he stayed on well inside the final furlong and now 2lb lower, this looks like his best chance in recent times to gain his fourth career win. Tom Queally is also an eye catching booking and rides the horse for the first time.
