Re: League 1 > Sat 17th August Carlisle V Coventry Over 2.5 goals @ 1.80 - bet365. There's a few games that screeams overs to me in this league. Firstly - Carlisle and Coventry have been leaking goals this season.... Carlisle conceded 5 on opening day against Orient, three midweek in the cup, and another four away to Bradford at the weekend. Coventry in their desperation to claw back the minus ten points deduction awarded them have been playing some very very open football. They conceded four on Sunday against Bristol City in a pulsating 5-4 victory. Crawley Town V Rotherham Over 2.5 goals @ 1.9 - bet365. Crawley have been all at sea so far defensively, with them making several mistakes per game it seems. They conceded and scored three away to Tranmere at the weekend. While Rotherham played out a 0-0 draw with Preston at the weekend they've still scored four goals across the three games played so far, and conceded five with that 3-3 draw on opening day against Crewe. Crewe Alexandra V Tranmere Over 2.5 goals @ 2 - bet365. Crewe are traditionally a bit of an overs side, at least over the past few seasons in League One and Two. They started this season off with a 3-3 draw against Rotherham and are yet to win this season having also been knocked out of the Carling Cup by Bury, in a 3-2 reverse. Tranmere have also been playing pretty open football this season and as mentioned above, drew 3-3 with Crawley at the weekend. I just can't see any of these games not being open and subsequently ending with a few goals each. The prices seem fairly generous given the circumstances.

Re: League 1 > Sat 17th August :unsure Swindon price has shortened significantly into 2.37 Ladbrokes best price. Unless Shrewsbury have some problems that I dont know about it now seems a very very short price. Swindon have started ok but are not at this point one of the top league 1 sides. Maybe Swindon could be marginal favourites here away from home but 2.37? no way.

I think the Shrews don't have a big playing budget and have a small squad, with a few injuries. Hammered 3-0 at the weekend by Orient it looks like they'll be bottom ten. Swindon for me are still top ten and Luongo looks a class above this league so I can understand why Swindon are being given a bit of attention. Although 2.37 seems a bit premature.

Definitely agreeing on your thought, Jase. All are worth some money with the first match being the match that has caught my eyes the most.

Also pays to remember that Steve Evans is making his return to Crawley and will surely have his Rotherham side up for it on Saturday. Those first two games stood out to me when I looked through the fixtures list.

Leyton Orient have attempted more shots at goal (33; excluding blocked) than any other side so far this season in League One and are also the division's top scorers with eight. The two sides have met just four times in the league, with Stevenage winning once and Leyton Orient winning twice (D1). With their 100% start to the season, the O's have now won four and lost none (D1) of their last five league matches in total. After winning four consecutive home games against Notts County, Walsall have failed to win in three matches at the Bescot Stadium (D1 L2). Including a League Cup victory, the Saddlers have won three on the bounce at the start of this season. It is their best run of form since January, when they won four on the trot.

Preston V MK Dons Under 2.5 goals @ 1.72 - Bet Victor. One game the screams unders for me here. All four head to heads between these two sides have gone under 2.5 goals. Both sides have given nothing away this season so far..... Preston are even yet to score or concede in the league. Even winning a goal to nil in the cup against Blackpool. Mk Dons are equally as tight, having scored once and conceded no goals so far. The dons will welcome back Jon Otsemebor at right bsck , while Captain Dean Lewington remains absent. Preston "should" welcome back strikers Iain Hume and Stuart Beavon.

Not to forget that Milton will miss their important offensive players Bowditch and Powell.
