Irish Derby Day 2013 at the Curragh - Photos

Was a wonderful day at the Curragh yesterday on Derby Day. Great crowd, the place was really packed, thanks to the good weather of course, yet it wasn't overcrowded. That's what I like going racing at the Curragh: even at these big days it remains relaxed and cosy. And what always was and probably always will- be the biggest asset of the Curragh is the fact that you're so close to the action and the horses. The racing was top class, even though quite hard to predict and it was a struggle over the whole day for me to find a winner. The Derby was won by Trading Leather - to my surprise. But he probably had the run of the race and won well in the end. Here are some pictures from Derby day anyway...
