2.30 Royal Ascot: Jersey Stakes (Group 3) (7f) This is a tricky opener to day two of the Festival and its difficult to be confident about any of the 3yo’s reproducing their best over this trip. I think Garswood could turn into a very useful sort and his form at Newmarket stands up well enough here. His run in the Guineas is hard to equate but like the way he was staying on which will stand him good stead on this stiff track. The O’Brien horse has to be respected but doesn’t appeal from a value standpoint and an alternative selection would have to be the unbeaten and unexposed Mutin from France. 3.45 Royal Ascot: Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (Group 1) (1m2f) Intriguing contest and you have to fancy Al Kazeem to confirm the form with Camelot despite claims from the O’Brien camp that 4yo needs plenty of races to get him fit and should be straighter this time. Al Kazeem hasn’t stopped improving yet and I expect him to prove too strong once again. The filly The Fugue has her first run of the season and is worth a saver at the odds as she has some very useful form in the book and receives 3lbs from the others. Selections; 3pts Al Kazeem 5/2
