Re: Bundesliga > Promotion/Relegation Play-Off > Thu 23rd May It's shaping up to be quite an interesting game this one and whilst I expect Kaiserslautern to at least try and keep it tight...they want to make sure they are still in the tie for the home leg....I like to look of goals. First of all...Kaiserslautern simply don't beat Hoffenheim. They have failed to win in each of their last seven meetings. This has been a really disappointing campaign for Hoffenheim, their lowest finish since promotion, so it is imperative that they get something from this 1st leg on their own patch as Kaislerslautern is a tough place to go for anyone. Let's take a look at the goals situation. Three of the last four meetings between the two sides have gone over 2.5 goals. Obviously they haven't played each other for over a year but recent form for both sides also points to goals with Hoffenheim's last 8 games all easily going over 2.5 goals and Kaiserslautern going over 2.5 in 8 of their last 10 games. We see every year that these play off games can be cagey affairs but an early goal from either side should set it alight and I have confidence in that happening. Over 2.5 goals at 2.1 with Betdaq and my bet of the day is Hoffenheim to win and over 2.5 goals at 3.1 with Ladbrokes. Good luck and enjoy the game!

They have been reliant when it comes to their results lately, and Hoffenheim had a lucky victory against Dortmund last week but all in all a very unreliant side to pick. The only way Hoffenheim can avoid draw is if Fermino, Volland and Vestergaard are starting in the XI - they will need to score, and the only player in the back that have played decently lately was Vestergaard. Idrissou will most likely score a goal for K'Lautern, he is on fire and much of his works is thanks to Baumjohann the former Schalke player. This will be a nervous first game, but don't expect any deffensive sided teams, as their main objective is to score goals. Over 2.5 Goals Draw

The spreads have this in for 2.8 goals which would suggest a price of around 9/4 and it's shorter than that in all bar 2 places (VC and Fred in the >3.5 market). 2/1 or shorter available in most places. Hoffenheim lead 3-1 from the first leg so the fact that Kaiserslautern are at home and needing to chase shouldn't harm the prospect of goals. 5 of both teams' last 12 games (home and away) have seen 4 or more goals.
