5.30 Punchestown: Ladbroke World Series Hurdle (Grade 1) (3m) A small but interesting field for the World Hurdle and all eyes will be on Quevega to see if she can make it eight straight wins at the two big Festivals. She faces a tough task against the much improved Solwhit since he switched to three miles, you cant fault either of his two victories at Cheltenham and Aintree and he wont mind the ground. He should be able to sit in behind Reve De Sivola and pounce going to the last. I’m sure Quevega will come with a late rattle but may have to settle for minor honours for once. 415 Perth: The Kilmany Challenge Cup Handicap Chase (Class 2) (2m4f110y) Quite a competitive handicap here with a couple of last time out winners heading the weights. Both Michael Flips and Rody are respected and of the two I much prefer the Turnell horse but they are both conceding a lot of weight. Mac Aeda is looking like he’s ready to strike and has a nice weight but just fancy Renard at the prices who should be up to winning in this class if he can get his jumping boots on.
