3.20 Cheltenham: Auriga Network Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (2m4f110y) Extremely competitive affair and many in with some sort of a chance, I’ve narrowed it down to three that I like; Edgardo Sol the class act from the top of the handicap for Paul Nicholls who loves Cheltenham, Top Of The Range was impressive at Sandown and I reckon he can improve on his mark and we can forget his run at the Festival and finally The Romford Pele is my pick from the bottom end of the weights, he looks very well handicapped on 10st7lbs and gets another 7lbs off from he jockeys claim which must give him every chance here of at least reaching the frame. 3.55 Cheltenham:Macmillan Cancer Support Silver Trophy Chase (Grade 2) (2m5f) Cracking renewal of the Silver Trophy and will probably concern Menorah and Champion Court. The Philip Hobbs top weight could have done without the 8lb rise he got for finishing second at Aintree as that puts him a stone wrong with Champion Court who has had a month off since the Ryanair. You have to fancy Martin Keighley’s 8yo on these terms especially if the ground dries out any more. A sounder surface would bring Hunt Ball into the equation but his weight hike for winning at Taunton has done him no favours and now races off a career high mark. Selections: 3pts Champion Court 5/2
