Jump Racing ~ 11th April

Recommended Posts

Off to Ludlow tomorrow for the PL Meet Up, the feature race looks a decent contest; 3.40 Ludlow: H R Smith Group Handicap Chase (Class 3) (2m4f) A very competitive little handicap that features quite a few horses in the same boat, that is they will be suited by the better ground conditions and as a result of running throughout the winter they now find themselves fairly handicapped. I’m tempted by the top two in the handicap, Michael Flips is the class act but has been let down by his jumping, he will enjoy this ground much more and takes a big drop in grade. Front runner Fiendish Flame hasn’t been lasting home and needs a decent surface so he can bowl along and get into a rhythm, he could just pull it off here with everything to suit. Selections: 2pts Michael Flips 5/1

Bet365 1pt Fiendish Flame 13/2 Paddy Power

Re: Jump Racing ~ 11th April 3.40 Ludlow good race this tough to call wit all having chances of sorts. Michael Flips is much better than shown for a long while now but is now back to a C3 and on a very good mark and also has a 5lb claimer on look sure to be in the mix. Divers has slipped to last winning mark is trainers only runner here & jocks only ride and i think will go well. Oldrik has two P's next to its name hasnt won since Dec 11 but gets its ground today and off a very low mark today should be involved. Combi FC & Tri casts on these 3 for me and Oldrik is the pick at the prices a small win bet at 12/1. Of the others Cootehill the fav has an obvious chance but may struggle today up in the weights for last win while Fiendish Flame is being well backed but i think this front runner may struggle late on in the race. Good luck to all at the PL meeting at Ludlow today that 3.40 is a cracker race to try and solve!
