I've mostly played with my friends only for fun but now i want to play for real money...Can you guys share some tips about learning poker??? I want to become a professional player in poker... Can I?? I don't read poker books but it will be easier to answer if you know what format you plan playing, ie on-line, live, tournies, cash games etc etc. Whatever your plans are you need to play for real money, every penny you lose is well invested. I've read a handful of books, and some were probably more advanced than the games that i was trying to learn and play. i found "Crushing the microstakes" by Blackrain79, and it was a great intro book to playing microstakes cash games.
