210 Haydock - Baron Rhodes. each way 9/1 Stan James Has been consistently in the frame all season apart from last time out when she didnt stay 6 furlongs. Some may have thought that was due to a rise in the weights after winning at Sandown but he actually was unlucky not to follow up off a mark of 78 at Ayr. Off 77 today and back to his favourite trip, he should get in the frame today. Finally, he is versatile to the ground which is likely to be a factor today (Haydock have changed their going to good/soft). 9/1 is big.

selections 450 Bath - High Ridge 9/2 Stan James, Salviati 20/1 High Ridge looks an each way bet to nothing. His record at Bath reads 2/3 and has been consistenly in the frame this season. Has won over Course and Distance. 5 out of 6 of Salviati's wins have come in July and August. After a spell rated in the 90's he now looks attractive off a more realistic mark of 80, the lowest its been in a while. Something that also caught my eye is that he has spent 90% of his career racing in Class B and C races, (and generally performing well). This is a Class D. The last time he ran in this grade he won off a 3lb higher mark. I gave this horse a the same write up earlier in the week and he did nothing so caution is advised but im going to give him another chance with a small each way bet as Milton Bradley's stable hit a bit of form yesterday.
