3:25 Gowran Park: Panther Claw 1pt win 10/1 Ladbrokes & Murchu 1pt win 18/1 Coral Going with two lightly raced sorts here, who have similar unexposed profiles over fences. Panther Claw may have been a touch fortunate to win at Punchestown however Rich Revival who beat Panther Claw at Fairyhouse in December franked the form from that race by winning next time. Panther Claw handles the going and stays this trip which gives plenty of hope for a good run. Murchu is another seven year old and he has had only six chase starts winning two. Looking through his form he has put up some creditable performances against decent yardsticks and should be competitive off a mark of 113. Can't pretend to know much about claimer Mark Enright, however he won on is only previous ride for the yard and has a healthy level stakes profit to all rides, which is a positive. Murchu also goes pretty well on heavy going.

3.25 Gowran Park: Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase (Grade A) (3m1f) Plenty of chances here in a typically open handicap, Outlaw Pete will be popular after his heroics at Cheltenham last time but this is a different kettle of fish to the Cross Country race in which he won and would be against him today. I like Son Amix of those at the head of the weights, his spin over hurdles last time at Thurles will have straightened him out after his absence and looks a value price while last years runner up Tullintain is an alternative after showing some of his old sparkle last time at Limerick and sports new headgear for this race.
