RPR Ratings Confusion on iPAD Version of Racing Post

I have the iPAD version of the Racing Post and when I review the RPR ratings for a horse (via the Card/form) they vary compared to the RPR ratings posted on the Stats tables (last 6 RPR). Can anyone explain?? I know that adjustemnst are made based on the weight carried today but this doesn't account for the vast differences in the ratings!

As far as I can make out the RPR compiler 'adjusts' the RPR he has previously awarded to account for the potential a horse may run to. EG. If he/she is unexposed or running over a distance that might improve them. Personally, if I'm gonna use them, I use the ones on the table - if I want to make any adjustments at that point, I'll do it myself.
