Thursday 27th December 1:50 Kempton – William Hill Levy Board Peterborough Chase Due to abandonments, this race has been moved twice, so hopefully it will be a case of third time lucky with the weather. WISHFULL THINKING coped well with the soft ground last time at Cheltenham and is fancied to win. He was a top class novice, but was inconsistent last season, but he did run very well at this meeting last year, going down by just under a length to Finian’s Rainbow. The trip and track should suit him really well and coming into the race after a confidence boosting win, should see him run to form and that sets a very high standard. His trainer has also recently come into form, so all is in place for a big run. In my eyes, the big danger is French Opera (also entered in the 2.30pm) as he has some classy form to his name and receives six pounds. His trainer, Nicky Henderson has a fantastic record at this track and I certainly expect him to have several winners over the two day meeting and French Opera is not one to oppose lightly. Last season he finished second to Sprinter Sacre on his seasonal debut, conceding five pounds and prior to that he has finished second in the Grand Annual under top weight. The conditions of this race suits him, so he looks a serious challenger and worthy of consideration to those of you that like a forecast bet. 3:05 Kempton – William Hill No.1 Downloaded Betting App Handicap Chase ROLLING ACES (also declared to run in the 2.50pm at Wincanton on Boxing Day) looks like an improving novice and he could still be ahead of the handicapper. Last time he showed a good attitude to get the better of Merry King at Newbury and although he has gone up eight pounds in the handicap, that was only his second start over fences, so he is entitled to improve. The form of that run was boosted at the weekend when Merry King ran a solid race in the Tommy Whittle Chase, pulling 14 lengths clear of the third. A step up to three miles should also be in his favour and the testing ground should not pose too many problems for him either. It is also worth noting that he finished second to Rocky Creek on soft ground on his debut in Irish points and that horse has gone on to win a Grade Two Chase, so a mark of 138, looks workable and I fancy him to win. 3:40 Kempton – Download The William Hill App Handicap Hurdle As mentioned earlier Nicky Henderson has a good record at this meeting and I especially take a close look at his runners in handicaps. ALL THE ACES is a fascinating runner as he was rated 115 on the flat at his peak, yet runs in this off a mark of just 127 over hurdles. He made a fair start to his hurdling career last year, finishing four lengths second to Prospect Wells (now rated 150), before winning easily on his next start on soft ground at Newbury. Next time out he finished third to Montbazon (rated 147) and Vulcanite (rated 145) and was not disgraced, so you can see a mark of 127 looks generous. He did not progress after that, but having had the summer off, he could bounce back to form and first time out, could be the time to catch him. It is a competitive race and Dildar also looks very well handicapped, but he should run very well.

Re: jump racing 27th december 2012 1.30 Kempton: William Hill – New Ipad App Mares’ Handicap Hurdle Pretty competitive stuff for a Mares’ race and the Henderson horse will be popular and looks sure to start favourite, she steps up in trip here which is a slight negative and I’d sooner be with those tried and tested in the conditions over three miles. Miss Milborne is very tough and nothing here will worry her, she races off the same mark as her decent second last time out and looks nailed on to run her usual game race despite top weight. Bunglasha Lady also has winning form at extreme distances and won last time out, she can hang in the closing stages but will be staying on when some of these have had enough.
