Werribee Betting: Pelicano looks the standout bet of the weekend in the Werribee Cup t441_188_338557-oakbank-gallery(1).jpg WERRIBEE RACE 7 @ 3.58pm AESDT: The Werribee Cup is an Listed open handicap over 2600m for 3 year olds and upwards where the favourite is PELICANO who is PELICANO who is 2.35 with IASBet HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks a pretty simple speed map here. NIPTIOUS leads from IM JAKE then PELICANO and APRES. KING DIAMOND and LUCKY ANGEL settle behind them with UNUSUAL SUSPECT at the tail of the field. Looks a race where all runners will get their chance barring track bias and luck in running. RACE ANALYSIS: This race looks set up for PELICANO. He’s been terrific in all 3 of his starts this campaign and this is arguably the easiest race he has faced. First up he flew home over the unsuitable journey of the Murray Bridge Cup where the winner was Éclair Surprise who then came to Melbourne and won twice. He then got too far back in a slowly run race at Flemington before rocketing home again to run an eye catching 3rd before a luckless Ballarat Cup run where he was 3 wide the trip and was then made make a long and wide run which was against the on pace rails hugging pattern of the day, hit the lead and it wasn’t until the shadows of the post that he was caught by KING DIAMOND who enjoyed a much softer run. http://www.betzone.com.au/werribee-betting-pelicano-looks-the-standout-bet-of-the-weekend-in-the-werribee-cup
