BBOTD - Friday 30th November 2012

1825 Wolves - Piceno - 8/1 - Paddy Power Proven on heavy and needs to translate Southwell form last time out onto the Polytrack. Like Ian Mongan as a Jock on the AW and hold a reasonable draw to attempt to make all from 7. Showed a great attitude last time out and if he does win will be a good pointer to Fayr Fall's chance in the next on the card.

Re: BBOTD - Friday 30th November 2012 6.55 Wolverhampton Really good looking handicap. Rulesnregulations is generally a good yardstick on the AW in these sort of races and bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts last time out at Kempton. Its worth noting all his most recent best form has come at that venue and may just be better there these days and this sharp track perhaps not to his liking despite winning here in his younger days. Gabrials Gift has shown little of late to get excited about, starting to look ungenuine and even potentially triples. Noble Jack is 2 from 3 around here but they have been over the extended 1m and 1m2f trips around here before running ok over 1m4f, didn’t do much then returned to turf or over jumps last time out and now needs to not only prove this mark isn’t beyond him but surely this 7f trip going to be too sharp. Fayr Fall got due reward for consistency last time out at Southwell, appeared to relish the surface and race rather fell apart but didn’t score with too much to spare in the end and could be found out by a 2lb rise and given overall profile wouldn’t be the obvious sort for back to back victories. Restless Bay caught the eye last week over 6f staying on nicely, would probably be better over that trip in a stronger run race and failed to show much over 7f in 11 trys but yard in absolutely blinding form so definitely needs to be considered. Haftohaf is of obvious interest having won on debut over CD a month ago. A mark of 67 tad harsh on what he achieved in that race given how closely the 52 rated rival finished. Yard continue there good AW run and they will know what they’ve got so market will need to be watched closely against seasoned rivals. For me Littmoden could easily land both divisions of this race but his runner in this division looks a tad overpriced. He scored quiet nicely on penultimate start showing a good attitude to knuckle down and win, up 3lb for that effort and can easily be excused a slightly lesser effort last time out at lingfield over 6f having been slowly away stayed on well in the end. If breaking on terms should be competitive off this sort of mark given he has only had 6 starts to date. 1pt win Cut Across 5/1 bet365
