FLAT RACING - Monday 1st November

Recommended Posts

Bellitudo 12.50 Lingfield. 0.5 pts ew. Ran better than expected on debut and is expected to come on quite a bit from that run. The trip and surface aren't a concern and although it's a very unexposed race and anything could improve to be anything, the current prices make us a good value bet. Should be fighting out the finish. 10/1 >William Hill (bog)

Re: FLAT RACING - Monday 1st November *Johnny Castle - Lingfield 2:20* It's only run on polytrack was here at this course, and was 2nd at this trip. Even though it was 9th last time out, that was 9th of 26 behind Jack Dexter, which was a very competitive race. This is a drop in class, is unexposed on the surface, and Amanda Perrett is in form. *1 Point WIN @ 8/1 VC BOG*

Re: FLAT RACING - Monday 1st November 2.50 Lingfield - 1pt win Night Lily @ 8/1 (Bluesq) The fact this one has been running so well on turf bodes very well as she's much better on the polytrack. She goes especially well at Lingfield, winning 3 from 7 when running over this c&d and will relish the return to these conditions. She's far from out of it at the weights and the favourite may be better on deeper turf. Looks sure to run her race and can be finishing fast.

Re: FLAT RACING - Monday 1st November A lot of value in the 7.10 Kempton on the bigger prices, godolphin handicap debutant been backed into 7/4 which is no price at all considering i've seen a few similar types from the yard be well backed and flop. Initially Loyalty and Rakaan both look big prices, Rakaans run in claiming company lto looks stronger considering Lockantanks has ran a decent race today and was about 10lbs better off for that claiming company win. Loyalty back on his favoured surface and down to a mark of 95 which he was beaten a nose off around this time last year at Wolverhampton. Rakaan is 22/1 WH and Loyalty 33/1 Coral, both big e/w prices imo.

Re: FLAT RACING - Monday 1st November 6.10 Kempton - 2pts win Pink Lips @ 13/2 (VC) The favourite is well-handicapped but will still have to improve on the encouragement shown last time out to win this I fancy with John Jenkins' unexposed type ready to put up a good challenge. His last two runners have been winners and this one can prove fairly handicapped also as she steps up in trip. She was never dangerous on debut but finished remarkably well next time to win over 6f (looking like the trip was plenty short enough) and finished to good effect again on her handicap debut when a 4l 4th. She was under pressure for a while so the extra furlong will help her here and she has stronger handling in the shape of Darryl Holland here. A good pace seems fairly likely and she should be charging home come the finish. 6.40 Kempton - 3pts win Quintilian @ 4/1 (Boyles) Even though Mahmood Al Zarooni's top weight is far from the least exposed in this nursery he looked a progressive type on a sound surface and comes here with a huge chance off the back of bombing out on soft ground last time. He simply looks like he hates that and his two efforts (once here) prior to that run offer a large amount of encouragement to suggest he can take this. He made a mockery of his handicap mark when an easy winner here and then chased home a smart type at Newmarket with the race not really run to suit. The winner is now 32lbs higher(!) having won a handicap and an Italian Group 1 since so the form is strong and he looks well up to this off a mark of 84. 7.10 Kempton - 2pts win Robin Hoods Bay @ 10/1 (VC) The favourite is going to have to work much harder today you fancy as he enters stiff handicap company with some classy seasoned horses and he won't get the run of the race like last time. Ed Vaughan's runner has both course form and form fresh and should be bang there at the finish in my opinion. His two runs after a break have seen him storm to a c&d win on his handicap debut and then finish 3rd in a hot Newmarket race earlier this year (winner now 24lbs higher and runner-up now 14lbs higher). He has 2 wins and a 2nd from three runs on the all-weather in handicap company and the fact he stays further can help today with a likely good gallop to run off. The yard are in form and I'd be surprised if this one doesn't go well also from a decent draw in stall 5.
