DUSTY STAR, MR MAKE BELIEVE will fight out the lead but right on their tails will be SEA LORD, PARTHIAN and SPACECRAFT with UTAH SAINTS,MAHISARA and INSTINCTION not far away. The rest of the field will settle midfield or beyond in a race that looks suited to those off the pace. RACE ANALYSIS: Open race. VEEWAP is absolutely flying. His 3 runs this preparation have all been extremely eye catching culminating in a great victory over 1400m last start at Caulfield. He gets back in the run but this racing pattern should suit here as there seems an enormous amount of pressure involved. Looks a race where every horse will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: In the absence of Black Caviar and Hay List, BUFFERING is the best sprinter in Australia. He resumed a fortnight ago with a narrow yet impressive victory in the Group 2 Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley over 1200m. He missed the start in this race but Hugh Bowman was able to drive him forward and find the lead then boot him 2 lengths ahead on the turn before fending off the late challenges.
