Antepost bets & Discussion - Jump Season 2012/13

Recommended Posts

It's time! We've already seen the impressive reappearance of Sizing Europe, and then Captain Cee Bee rolling back the years. Fingal Bay is entered up in the novice chase this weekend (won by Cue Card last year). Very much looking forward to that - I'd like to see him in the Jewson personally. Anyone backed anything antepost for Cheltenham yet? Or anywhere else? I've already backed too many for the Champion Hurdle, not to huge stakes though. I've backed Hissabat at 130.0+, Cinders and Ashes at 16/1, Darlan at 16/1 and Grandouet at 14/1. I did back Simonsig at 15.0 but laid that off a while back, and it seems like plans with him are up in the air. I've also backed Captain Conan for the Arkle and Flemenstar for the Gold Cup.

Re: Antepost bets & Discussion - Jump Season 2012/13 I've also backed Flemenstar but for the Champion Chase at 25.0. I'm on Pearl Swan at 60.0 and Cinders and Ashes at 18.0, both for the Champion Hurdle. I'm considering backing Captain Chris for the Gold Cup but I'm also a big fan of Sir Des Champs and think that will have a great season. I took notice of comments regarding Captain Conan that it was always going to be a different horse over fences and I also fancy it for the Arkle, might have to get on that one soon. I like Darlan too, think you've got a decent bet there and expect it to have a decent season. I've also noted a few other horses but no idea if they will be any decent and even get to Cheltenham: Sea Of Thunder Beau Dandy Un Guet Apens Captain Sunshine These to go along with the others mentioned in the 10 to follow thread that someone posted up for advice. Do you think Simonsig will go over fences or stick to hurdles? I'm reluctant to put decent stakes on anything until around January with so many having multiple entries.
