He's also coming in off his worst start of the season, giving up 8 hits and 7 runs for just 7 outs lto against Tampa. Mets (-1.5) 2pts @ 2.70 Bet365 Expect Hefner to rebound from a last start that describing as a nightmare would be understating just how horrific it was, as he gave up 7 runs before being yanked without recording a single out. The A's and the Rangers have met 14 times this season, and have combined for 10 or more runs on just 2 of those meetings. Add to that the A's are pitching Jarrod Parker, who only ceded 1 hit, a lead off single in the 8th, on his last meeting with Texas. Then consider that the Rangers send Martin Perez to the mound, with the rookie gaining his first career win v the A's in June when giving up just 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings. Everything points to this being a tense, tight, affair between 2 sides who need the win, and I could easy see this going to extra innings after a 2-2 / 3-3 type game.
