1.50 Doncaster: Japan Racing Association Sceptre Stakes (Fillies’ Group 3) (7f) A decent renewal of the Sceptre Stakes and looks very competitive at first glance, in reality you can boil this down to two or three as long as the ground doesn’t deteriorate too much although soft ground won’t worry Sentaril too much. I really fancied her at Ascot in the Jersey Stakes so have to follow her in this weaker contest. Her run last time over shorter can be forgiven and she will hopefully take this on her way to better things. Gamilati will be popular but her run at Goodwood was awful so as an alternative I like Appealing who ran a cracker in a similar contest last time and should gain revenge on Regal Realm. Re: Flat Racing ~ Thursday Sept 13th I am looking at the 4.05 Doncaster tomorrow and I am struggling to find any early pace in the race. Looking at the field, there seems to be a lot of horses reliant on a fast pace that like to be held up. Ideally I am looking for a tactically astute jockey on a prominent racer... Anyone else had a look at the race yet? Elusive Flame interests me dropping back in trip, with Buick on board
