They are on an 11-match unbeaten run, a sequence that encapsulates the 5-1 thumping they dished out to Hibs in the Scottish Cup final last season. That the "rematch" has come round so quickly is a bonus for Hearts. They have sold out their allocation and Jambos will be singing, celebrating and reminiscing over that win. It's not going to be a pleasant atmosphere for Hibs, even at their own ground. Moreover, the Easter Road side started the season in abject fashion, going down 3-0 to Dundee United. Pat Fenlon hasn't managed to bring in sufficient players to make his team competitive against top six sides. Gary Deegan, an Irish midfielder from Coventry, will make his debut, but one man can't change a team overnight. Hibs lack quality and organisation, far less the wherewithal to win a derby. Hearts are without chief Hibs tormentors from last season in Ian Black, Craig Beattie, Stephen Elliott and Rudi Skacel, but they have more than enough in John Sutton, David Templeton and Andy Driver to cause problems. This, in short, is a game Hibs are dreading and Hearts are relishing. To get the visitors with half draw cover at even money is extremely tasty. Hibs only won twice in the league at Easter Road last season and haven't beaten Hearts at home since 2009. They haven't done enough to bridge the quality divide. With that in mind, it's a large stake on Hearts for me. :hope

Err the -0.25 handicap is not riskier than a straight win. -0.25 handicap gives you a 50% stake return if the result is a draw, Atko's bet has much more value than your straight win bet at LOWER odds.

Have to be honest and admit that I called that one wrong. Hibs improved immeasurably and Hearts were poor. They are sorely lacking in midfield. Draw was fair. If anything, this extolled the virtues of the Asian Handicap. Half stake back is a grateful conclusion.
