8.10 Windsor St Ignatius was rapidly on the way up scoring a hatrick, but came to a sudden stop at Newmarket on Friday night and this looks a hot race for the grade and usually competes in easier company than this. Choral Festival has a good course record and seems to go on any ground so any rain shouldnt cause a problem, but never won off a mark anywhere near this high and only ran here on Saturday. Urban Space another that goes well here and back to form last time out with a close second last time out behind Royal Etiquette, up 4lb for that effort but 3 lengths back to 3rd who has since scored at Musselburgh. Has won off this mark before and some form on soft ground although best form comes on firm ground. Blue Surf is a lightly raced sort who comes into this after 3 maiden runs last year placed efforts last 2, when last seen 2nd in a maiden at Goodwood on good/soft and that form is a little patchy and will need to improve for the step up in trip considering those behind him are rated in low 70's, yard no the time of day so any money would of course be of interest on return from a break. Royal Etiquette won last time out that was over 2f further, up 5lb for that but useful apprentice able to claim that back today. Always struggled to get head in front and similar story likely back here today especially with the drop back in trip unlikely to suit. Drummond didnt shape to badly on 2nd outing this summer over this CD was given a strange ride taken away from the rest of the field too race alone, handicapper saw fit to raise him 2lb which looks a little harsh and stamina still not confirmed for this trip a worry despite being open to plenty of improvement. On Khee is another with a good course record, but not seen for 3 months since falling over hurdles, looks weighted to the hilt on return to flat and best form on faster ground so perhaps one too keep an eye on for another day. For me Keepax is the most interesting, lightly raced with only 4 starts to his name, winning on second run. Not seen for 6 months before return when well down the field but looked badly in need of the run, much better effort when stepped upto this trip over CD last time out, up a 1lb for that and still open to improvement and if building upon that may take some stopping especially if the predicted rain falls. 2pt win Keepax 9/2 VC 8.40 Windsor Vakiyla comes over from France so impossible to know what to make of the form, racingpost comment on jockey booking being eye catching. Not convinced myself had 71 rides for stable last 5 years so used fairly reguarly with 11 wins, of course he is riding out of his skin at the moment which is a boost to any of his mounts but probably best watched on british debut. Suzis A Class Act has improved for the fitting of cheekpieces and step up to staying trips mainly on the AW. Good effort last time out on return from winter break on turf but drops back in trip tonight which is not ideal off a 1lb higher mark again. Painted Tail returned to best last time out returned to more positive tactics yard going great guns at the moment but handicapper put her up 3lb again and she really is weighted right upto her best at present and likely to find one or two to good. Varian yard is another yard hit a rich vein of form especially with their 2yr olds, older horses not quite matched that level yet but still going well and Zowaina has to be feared despite not looking completely straightforward at times and did rather get run of the race at Wolverhampton last time out. Hit with a 13lb rise having pulled well clear of 3rd, worry has t be the 2nd let that form down badly off an 8lb higher mark next time out. Also solely raced on the AW and has to prove soft ground which is likely to come up suits. Easy to swerve for me! Bernisdale for me has to be taken seriously if building on his effort over this course last week for a small yard in superb form at present. Ground perhaps wouldnt want to come up to soft but form on good ground is solid and has some good maiden form on good/soft aswell. Gets to run off same mark as last week which looks rather kind given how far they pulled clear of the 3rd horse. Step up in trip looks likely to suit as stamina appears to be her game and Spencer a huge eye catching booking for yard having yet to ride for the yard in last 5 seasons. 2pt win Bernisdale 4/1 VC

Re: Flat Racing Monday 2nd July 3.30 pont 1 ---- 2 ---- 3 6pts 4 6pts wolv? 5 ----- 6 5pts 4th 7 6pts 2nd 8---- 9 ------ 10 6pts 11 7pts 12------ some questionable horses in this who are hard to weigh up .....guava (8) would have a chance on wolv form last but one but did very poorly on turf so scrubbed .......horse 6 looks still high in weights despite 5pt rating so scrubbed .....the main ones to concentrate on are horse 3 indian giver 6pts with a speed rating of 77 , horse 7 gadobout dancer 6pts with a speed rating of 72 and miss ella jade (11) who has a speed rating of 68 difficult to know how to split them but indian giver didnt run that well lto and seemed to take a step backwards but might appreciate a return to better ground ...miss ella jade finished 2nd lto but has been running in weak races and 2nd was 6lengths back so not the strongest of runs on paper ....overall GADABOUT DANCER has the profile of an improving horse with speed ratings of 69 and 72 on last 2 runs .....consistent and 2nd rated on class form he looks a good e.w bet at around 6/1 to at least run into a place gadabout dancer 2pts e.w 6/1 bet365
