The domination of fillies and mares in recent Australian Group 1 racing continued on Saturday with Sea Siren taking out the BTC cup at Doomben.The John O’Shea trained 3YO filly was the beneficiary of a textbook ride from veteran jockey Jim Cassidy to race away with a 1.3 length win. Perhaps the talking point from a form perspective to come out of the race was the run comeback sprinter Scenic Blast. The 3-time G1 winner showed his first real glimpse of form for 18 months with a slashing 2^nd behind Sea Siren. Scenic Blast settled midfield before finding the line better than anything in the race to signal he may be back to somewhere near his brilliant best.But you can’t take anything away from Sea Siren, she now takes her record to 4 wins and 2 placing’s from her 6 starts.
