just posting up early prices.... 4.10 southwell masai moon 87 mazovian 86 powerful presence 85 the fav sound amigo looks high in the weights so his 3/1 price looks poor to me (no value) ,powerful presence would have chances and is quite quick on a good day but 160 day layoff huge negative so no value in 5/1 price which leaves the door open for either mazovian or masai moon .mazovian ran really well lto over 6f but combination of extra furlong and 6lb rise a slight negative although still chances but at 11/2 there is better value in the 8/1 about masai moon who has recorded 87 on both his last 2 runs and the drop to 7f here should suit better .....hcapper has generously dropped 3lb from last run here at southwell so is nicely weighted now for a big run ....should run well masai moon 4.10 south 2pts e.w 8/1 ladbrokes

Re: FLAT RACING TUES 17TH APRIL 4.10 Southwell Best race on the card by a long way but some underperforming sorts in the race that really need to bounce back including Zacynthus, Memory Cloth and SOS Brillante having shown very little recently and have something to prove. All Right Now hasnt been running with much encouragement on polytrack recently but should be better suited to a return here but is far too short to be interested in this race and this trip may be a bare minimum these days. Mazovian is at his best when getting an uncontested lead unlikely to get that here and 6lb rise in the weights looks harsh never won off a mark this high before!! Powerful Presence was progressive on this surface last January not quite so good back on turf but did go well on 2 further starts back here when last seen but crept back up the weight again and starts this season off a 8lb higher mark than last win probably best watched. Masai Moon is hard to win with far too consistent for his own good and really hold his form well throughout the season and despite not winning since 2008 off a mark of 87, now on a mark of 79 and starting to slip back down has ran well in defeat all 3 starts this spring only beaten last time by 4 progressive unexposed handicappers last time out, acts on the surface and surely hold every chance. The most serious danger has to be Sound Amigo who Ive noted a handicapper to follow this summer, progressive last season and picked up where he left off last year with a good 2nd over CD behind True To Form trainer did say he would come on for the run that day, ran a great race in a very hot race at Doncaster just over 2 weeks ago and this represents a much easier task and looks sure to go well! 2pt win Sound Amigo 3/1 hills 1pt e/w Masai Moon 7/1 hills 4.40 Southwell This is a pretty weak race, Ostentation looks a solid option in this field and 11/4 doesnt look a bad price on what he has shown recently, was claimed after winning a 4 runner claimer at Lingfield joined the in form Lidderdale yard and ran a solid 3rd at Musselburgh over a trip that he didnt stay but clearly showed still in form dropped back in trip on a surface he acts on and has won off higher marks in the past and should get a good toe into race with Kingaroo and Whats The Point in the field! 4pt win Ostentation 11/4 bet365
