At The Races and RUK both confirmed via Twitter that Frankel has been retired. Awful news... what a day is this? Absolutely gutted. Gold Cup winner Sychronised dead, Frankel retired... and that all within a few minutes... come on that can't be true! :(

Frankel Retired ? Following on from the death of the Gold Cup winner this afternoon, I'm now hearing that Frankel has been retired........ What a dreadful day for racing.......
